I am incredibly proud to be part of the #Chainlink community. At SmartCon 2024 🇭🇰, I had the opportunity to meet many amazing people and learn a great deal.

A fund token that trades on several blockchains is hard to lend against if each chain shows a different price for it.
Tokenized funds need one authoritative net asset value that every chain can read, and DTCC has already tested how to deliver it. In its Smart NAV pilot, published in May 2024, DTCC took the fund price and rate data it already distributes through its Mutual Fund Profile Service and sent it across blockchains using Chainlink CCIP. Ten firms took part, among them JPMorgan, BNY Mellon, State Street and Franklin Templeton. DTCC stayed the source and governor of the data, CCIP carried it across chains, and clients could pull historical prices without manual recordkeeping. That split suits institutions, because the incumbent keeps authority over the number and Chainlink carries it everywhere it is needed. Each new fund that moves onchain adds demand for that distribution layer.
Asset managers including BlackRock and Fidelity are speaking at Link:NYC on October 29.

A market rule protects investors only if it is enforced at the moment an asset changes hands, and onchain that moment happens inside software.
US regulators are now writing rules for that software. On October 5 the CFTC started its first round of crypto market rules with an advance notice on Regulation CTX and Regulation CAM, and its questions go down to the infrastructure layer, asking which tools such as pricing oracles a crypto exchange should be allowed to use and whether oracle failures belong in its core principles. Where the notice describes blockchains delivering prices to market participants, it cites the Chainlink 2.0 whitepaper. Chainlink is building the enforcement side too. Its Automated Compliance Engine enforces identity and sanctions rules while a transaction executes. ACE has been available on mainnet in private beta since May, and Hong Kong's Tokenized Securities Framework has selected it alongside CCIP. Once regulators define what a compliant onchain market needs, the oracle and compliance layers in that definition are ones Chainlink has already built.
CFTC Chairman Michael Selig opens the Link:NYC program, and Sergey Nazarov sits on the Innovation Advisory Committee that Selig sponsors.

REMINDER: Head of Strategy at SWIFT Jonathan Erhenfeld Solé Will Talk About The Convergence between Tradfi And Defi At $LINK:NYC
In this panel they will talk about how traditional systems will continue to operate in parallel with emerging Blockchain systems and how they will be Interoperable with each other!
I think they will share a lot more info on the partnership between @swiftcommunity and @chainlink and how CCIP allows institutions to use their current systems to execute Blockchain transactions.
Looking forward to $LINK:NYC
Before a bank can buy a tokenized fund, it usually needs new wallets, key management and a direct connection to a blockchain, and most banks will not rebuild their systems to get there.
Chainlink's answer is to start from the message the bank already sends. In a 2024 pilot under Singapore's Project Guardian, Swift, UBS Asset Management and Chainlink settled tokenized fund subscriptions and redemptions over Swift's existing fiat payment rails. In a follow-up pilot announced in September 2025, ISO 20022 messages sent through Swift reached the Chainlink Runtime Environment, which then ran the subscription and redemption of a UBS Tokenize fund contract onchain. On the bank's side, the instruction was a standard Swift message. Swift links more than 11,500 institutions, so if this model reaches production, Chainlink gets a distribution channel that size without asking a single bank to replace its systems.
Swift's Head of Strategy, Jon Ehrenfeld Solé, speaks at Link:NYC on how Swift's network is adopting digital assets.

Collateral is how markets protect themselves from losses, and moving it still means checking eligibility, valuing assets and confirming delivery across custodians and counterparties, with a lot of manual reconciliation.
DTCC wants to replace that with one shared platform. Its depository, DTC, custodies more than $114 trillion in securities, and in May DTCC announced that its Collateral AppChain will use the Chainlink Runtime Environment and Chainlink's data standard for eligibility, valuation, margining and settlement, around the clock and across blockchains. DTCC expects it to go live in Q4 2026. The AppChain is built as common infrastructure for collateral providers, receivers, managers, triparty agents and custodians, so a firm that joins gets Chainlink as part of the platform it signs up for. Once the AppChain is live, one decision at the depository puts Chainlink inside the collateral workflow of every participant that follows.

Financial institutions adopt new infrastructure slowly, and one of the earliest signals is where their senior people choose to show up
On October 29, DTCC's CEO, Swift's Head of Strategy and the Chairman of the CFTC are on the speaker list at Link:NYC, Chainlink's event in New York. Two of those institutions have also made decisions involving Chainlink. DTCC announced in May that its Collateral AppChain will use the Chainlink Runtime Environment, and Swift has completed tokenized fund pilots with UBS and Chainlink. Over the next week I'm writing a short series, one post per problem these institutions are bringing Chainlink in to solve, starting tomorrow with collateral at DTCC. Read together, the guest list works as a map of where institutional demand for Chainlink already sits.

Stellar's four billion, now priced by #Chainlink stellar.org/blog/foundation-…
$38 trillion in value transferred runs on OpenZeppelin standards, and that tooling now ships Chainlink CCIP and ACE as the default for ERC-20 and ERC-3643 tokens
OpenZeppelin is the standard most of the industry builds on, used by firms like BlackRock and Franklin Templeton, and S&P Global announced last month that it will acquire the company. As of October 20, CCIP and ACE are live natively in its Wizards and AI developer tooling. Teams on OpenZeppelin Defender also get a migration path to the Chainlink Runtime Environment, which will power OpenZeppelin's upcoming production-grade institutional solutions.
Regulated issuers should read the compliance part twice. ACE adds hooks for sanctions screening, KYC checks, volume limits and Secure Mint, and OpenZeppelin says those policies can be updated without redeploying the core token contract. Stablecoin and tokenized fund rules keep changing, so a token whose policy layer can change with them is easier to keep compliant.
Every issuer that picks those options starts with Chainlink in the stack from the first line of code.
Kamino is giving CCIP-secured collateral better terms than tokens on bespoke bridges
After an extensive security review, the Solana lending protocol said assets secured by Chainlink CCIP qualify for higher borrowing caps and LTVs, while tokens on bespoke, per-lane setups face lower caps and, in some cases, delisting. Kamino's reasoning is that a cross-chain token is only as safe as its weakest mint-and-burn setup, because unbacked supply created anywhere "flows freely into every market that accepts it."
CCIP gives Kamino one baseline to underwrite. Its default verifier set is 16 independent, security-reviewed node operators, and issuers who add their own verifiers under CCIP 2.0 do so alongside that set. Kamino also called CCIP the only widely used bridge with no funds-loss exploit on its record, and it already uses Chainlink Data Streams as a primary source of RWA pricing.
Its message to issuers planning a cross-chain expansion is to "choose infrastructure that lets a lending market underwrite you once and trust the result across every chain you touch."
