Huge ‘Thank You’ to everyone who came out to support the program tonight. We had a great turnout for our Eat n’ Earn fundraiser with @FreddysUSA ! The food was scrumptious, the concretes delicious, and the atmosphere lively. 🦁💪

Still plenty of day left to wish this guy a Happy Birthday! Coach Kucza has been a pillar of reason and collectedness for the cross country team. This program would not look or feel the same without him and all the joy and charisma he brings. Happy Birthday, Coach! 💪🦁

Had an awesome afternoon at the Wellsville Invite! While the race distance was relegated to 2-miles, that didn’t stop the kids from competing! JV Boys 🥇 w/ Hudson taking 1st overall + 4 medalists Varsity Boys 🥈 + 4 medalists They set the standard for the weekend! 🦁💪

The 4th annual Run-a-Thon Fundraiser is in the books! Kids showed up. Ran 2 hours. Earned money through their pledges. And each one ended with a smile and some goofiness. This is one special group we have this year. We are stoked to see these kids out racing this fall! 🦁💪

Nothing quite like a Time Trial for breakfast! The kids got after it on this cool, sub-70° morning. We’ve got our teams set and ready to open the season next week in Manhattan!

Nothing like a 6 AM wake up call on the second day of the season! All the kids showed up, eyes half open, but smiles on their faces … most of them. 😆 You really can’t beat the cooler temps and that gorgeous morning sunrise. #raisethepride 💪🦁

The XC crew was up early to volunteer at the Rexy Run! The competitors enjoyed the music, the chalk art, and that crisp ice water. The kids were enthusiastic and encouraging to all runners. What a fun way to give back to the community!

Still time in the day! Huge birthday shoutout to @LauraBrensing ! We’ve been through the ups, downs, and all arounds and she has stuck with me and still excited year in and year out to coach! Happy Birthday!

Today we capped off our Youth XC Camp with a mini meet + awards! The Orange Centaurs knocked off the Green Griffins with a score of 24 to 31. Taught the kids the importance of placing and being a good teammate. The HS kids did a great job at coaching. Can’t wait till next year!

Day 3! Started with our Sponge Relay and then moved on to our Scavenger Hunt. The kids traversed the nearby neighborhood & campus to complete their LIONS (Bingo) card. We concluded with popsicles and some words from former Lions: Andie and Juliet. Great day! Mini-meet tomorrow!

Day 2 (missed Day 1 post) of our Youth Camp was a day for hills!! The relay game was “Build a Puzzle”. Race up, grab a piece, race down, place it, next person goes. First to finish their puzzle wins. It was tough but the kids loved the fun competition and workout. On to day 3!

Made it to camp! 9000 ft has never felt so amazing! Shake out run in the books. Dinner and some s’mores to cap day 1! 🦁💪 #itsover9000

We wrapped up track with a small distance contingent at State! Super proud of these kids. Andie Garrett (Sr) — 9th in the 1600 (5:10.23), 13th in the 800 (2:22.64) Oliver Schwartz (Jr) & Garrett Rhea (Jr) — legs of the 7th place 4x400 team (3:25.42) The future is bright! 🦁💪

Our second senior has left the den. Juliet penned her intent to run for @GrinnellXC_TF next year at Grinnell College. She will receive the best education and be a part of a prestigious program. We are beyond proud and wish her nothing but the best in her years to come! 🦁💪

Today, one of our freshman took on the 800/1600 at the @IchabodXCTF HS indoor meet. Murphy ended with all-time PRs in both events! He, along with the rest of the distance crew, is looking to return where they left off in ‘25 and help @LHSTrackField make some magic in 2026! 🦁💪
