Is this the one they were warning us about? Starting life today with no internet and no electricity.
The NHS is finished. It's already largely dysfunctional and we're seeing the transition towards to a private system.

I cannot believe this. The 2024 NHS pandemic plan states the following generic assumptions:
“it will not be possible to halt the spread of a new pandemic virus, and it would be a waste of public health resources and capacity to attempt to do so.”

I was working on this 20 years ago—process is so slow. I guess the right billionaires don't get rich with demand control.

Grok captures it nicely:
Measured, well-informed and largely bollocks-free posting is unusual on X.The platform’s incentives tend to reward speed, confrontation, slogans and emotional intensity more than careful reasoning or restraint.

This is a rare photo of Donald Trump from 1934, helping Albert Einstein finish the theory of relativity. According to Trump, Einstein had been stuck for weeks.
“Very smart guy. Terrible with numbers. I looked at the board and said, Albert, put a little 2 up there. He loved it."
#Parkrun hasn't been the same for me since the day I was gang raped at the barcode scanner by a crowd of excited women who discovered I was the only male categorised runner there.
Was I panting at the end.
But they said I was best in category 😀🤣😂
Responses to this show that it's a waste of one's life trying to have a meaningful conversation on here about real issues, and their implications, as opposed to ignorant shouting and vacuous ad hominems.
X is the home of the stupid. If only you knew what they're doing to you 🤔
#Parkrun workflow at the event has no internet connectivity. They simply correlate a barcode number with a finish-token number — a list of number pairs. No names, no categories, no feasible enforcement mechanism.
That's the point I was making in the original post — reality.
Briefly came back here after a long break. It's full of idiots. Full-on insane crazy people. We're doomed.
My son runs a campsite in Snowdonia, from which he was recently watching terrifyingly huge wildfires.
Some of his guests thought he was impolite for calling them f-ing stupid for lighting an open fire on the grass of the campsite.
Are social media eating our brains?
43. I'm a "cyclist in my dotage". Actually I don't see the problem with that, so why did the twat who posted it feel the need to do a hit and run, blocking me before I'd read it.
Perhaps it's because I understand statistics and he doesn't. Old people can ride bikes and count.
Replying to @SimonJonesMusic @7Kiwi
It's not, but you clearly don't want to have a sensible discussion, and I don't want a brainless argument. Goodnight.
