Andy Burnham can’t cut taxes because he can’t cut spending.
Reform will cut £40 billion of waste so we can give households £1,300 back in their pocket👇

I’m firmly of the belief that if convicted criminals refuse to walk into the courtroom to hear their sentencing then they should be carried or dragged by the authorities. If once in the dock they shout out or refuse to be quiet, they should be gagged.

Brussels Burnham wants to reopen our borders to millions of migrants.
He is completely out of touch with the British people.
An “easy out”. @nigelmp says the quiet bit out loud.
He means not sticking to your guns but just saying whatever the interviewer EXPECTS you to say so that you stay the “correct” (ie establishment, uniparty, metropolitan liberal elite) side of what journalists deem to be the “acceptable” narrative in any given interview.
This is exactly why the U.K. is in such a mess. Weak Tory politicians too afraid to stand firm and not be bullied by the media.
I’m glad @RobertJenrick refused to tow the line as dictated by LBC

He should do as Reform would and raise the tax free Personal Allowance to £15,000.
No-one would pay income tax on the state pension. And 40 million people would get a tax cut.
But then he’d have to cut wasteful spending. Which he won’t.

LET THE PEOPLE OF FOLKESTONE, HYTHE AND ROMNEY MARSH HAVE THEIR SAY @therealdavidwi1
Having watched Politics South East today, I was left wondering how closely some of our politicians are listening to the people they represent.
Listening to Mike Tapp labour mp, a Liberal Democrat representative from Eastbourne and the Green Party’s Mike Blakemore, calling both myself and our Kcc leader racist this morning, I certainly did not feel they spoke for residents who oppose the council’s decision to declare our district a “District of Sanctuary”.
A vote in the council chamber is not a mandate from every household in our district.
That is why I launched an e-petition challenging this decision. My Facebook post has attracted more than 62,000 interactions, and over 200 people have contacted me directly saying they could not complete the petition because the website kept kicking them out.
Those interactions are not petition signatures, but the response shows why residents must have a proper opportunity to be heard.
I contacted Democratic Services, who have agreed that I can also organise a paper petition.
If you have struggled to sign online, please contact me for details of the paper version.
You can also send me a separate signed statement. Write your full name and postcode, followed by:
“I oppose Folkestone and Hythe District Council’s motion to declare the district a District of Sanctuary. I do not support welcoming people who enter the UK illegally into Kent.”
Sign and date it, then take a clear photograph or screenshot and send it to me by private message. Please do not put your personal details in the public comments.
I will submit these statements alongside the petition, which already has more than 300 supporters. The council will determine which submissions meet its formal petition requirements.
Residents deserve clear answers about what this declaration means, what commitments it creates and what it will cost.
Our district. Our communities. Our right to be heard.
If you agree please try and sign the petition go to the Folkestone and Hythe district council website…. Search e petition and follow the steps if you have trouble doing that please send your objection as above
AND SHARE THIS POST! please
If you’d like to add your name to the petition against Folkestone & Hythe becoming a “district of sanctuary” please see Cllr Wimble’s post below 👇

I’ve campaigned with many Tory MP’s in their constituencies and nothing matches the love and affection the people of Clacton have for Nigel.
That is why MP’s are so jealous and why Reform lives rent free in their heads.
They know the minute a GE is called they are toast 🗳️ 🇬🇧

Please sign & share, we need to challenge making our district a District of Sanctuary
THE PETITION IS NOW LIVE — PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE - Challenge FHDC “District of Sanctuary”
@therealdavidwi1 I very rarely ask people to sign petitions, but I feel strongly that Folkestone and Hythe District Council’s decision to declare us a “District of Sanctuary” deserves to be challenged
The Green, Liberal Democrat and Labour councillors backing this motion should not assume they speak for everyone. If you disagree with their decision, this petition is your opportunity to put that opposition on record.
My position is straightforward: people of every nationality, colour and religion deserve dignity and fair treatment. Equally, residents have every right to question decisions made in their name and ask what those decisions will mean for their communities.
With housing, public services and council budgets under pressure, we need clear answers about what this declaration involves, what commitments follow and how residents’ needs will be protected.
Compassion and accountability must go together. Asking questions and challenging council policy are fundamental parts of democracy.
It takes about three minutes to sign. Please read the petition, add your name if you agree, and share the link so others can make their voices heard.
The council has had its say. Now residents must have theirs.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨
Andy Burnham has admitted he wants open door immigration with the EU.
Freedom of movement means 450 million people will be able to move to the UK with no powers to stop them.
Why is Burnham so determined to open the floodgates once again?
