Bro has got the survival instincts of a horror movie white girl. Bro if my taxi started trying to kidnap me I would immediately started swinging on him. I would have thrown thrown him out the car or made us crash or 1 of the 2.

Lesson: donโt live for the applause because the silence will be deafening.
Booty hanging out and all, goddamn. Supreme scenes.

This hits hard. The way he lays out how one person gets there first and just keeps telling the version of the story that makes them look good, over and over, while you're not in the room... yeah, that's how it actually goes. And then once the label sticks ("controlling," "unstable," whatever), everything you do after that gets twisted to prove the label was right the whole time. You defend yourself? Defensive. You set a boundary? There it is, controlling again. Your reaction becomes the new evidence. That's the part that feels especially unfair.
The triangulation thing is real too. People stop talking to you and start talking about you, and the story gets passed around sibling to sibling, parent to kid, until it starts sounding like common knowledge even though half the people repeating it never saw anything firsthand. And nobody wants to be the one who questions it, because then they're the problem. So the whole group stays locked in.
The line at the end stuck with me: consensus isn't the same thing as truth. An entire family agreeing about you doesn't automatically mean they're right. Healthy families can handle people asking questions or having different takes. A lot of families just treat any disagreement as disloyalty.
Sounds exhausting to live through.

A terrorist group now controls one of the most important shipping lanes in the world, and to get through, you just send them an email.
Their replies read like customer service.
