Evolving with Purpose: New OCP Membership Tier Names and Logos As the OCP Community continues to grow and adapt to the evolving needs of the open hardware ecosystem, we are excited to share a preview of important updates to our Membership tier names and logos, which will officially go into effect on January 1, 2026. These changes are part of a broader effort to enhance clarity, consistency, and recognition across the OCP Foundation’s Membership program—while staying true to the values of openness and collaboration that define our Community. The only membership level name that is changing is Community - which will be renamed Bronze. The new name better reflects the level of engagement and contribution each tier represents—while also aligning with common terminology used in other industry membership models. We are seeking Community feedback on the changes. Additionally, to support our long-term growth and ensure strong governance, the OCP Foundation Board has also approved key updates to our corporate bylaws. These changes include: · Expanded Board Structure · New Standing Committees · Refined Voting Thresholds · Clarified Officer Roles Read the full story and provide feedback here: bit.ly/4lvaHHZ

4090s are the appetizer 😉 Utilization has been off the charts lately (hence used prices for cards being extremely high). Check out the calculator.farmgpu.net/ to model earnings for FarmGPU NFTs!

XRP is a centrally controlled security -- is that even a question for anyone here? According to every crypto OG I talk to, it's the opposite of Bitcoin. If the SEC allows it to trade like Bitcoin, then securities law will be worthless. There will be chaos in the markets as a million startups, funds and grifters start dumping 50% of their coins on retail while slowly selling the 50% they own and control. That kind of chaos is NOT a good idea for America because the world believes we have stable and controlled markets -- and they're willing to park and invest their money with us. Now... if there was an sophisticated investor test, and XRP could only be traded by people who pass that test, well, at LEAST those individuals would be educated to how dangerous it is to invest too much into these type of projects.
Yesterday Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse met with Trump for dinner. Odds $XRP gets an ETF this year are steady at 70%.

“The DeepSeek-R1 NIM microservice can deliver up to 3,872 tokens per second on a single NVIDIA HGX H200 system.” If you read DeepSeek white paper they have a clever way for doing load balancing on the inference with MoE. 8x H200 = $4/hr on @runpod per card (expect that to probably level out at H100 levels later in the year). 13.93M tokens per hr would be $2.30/1M tokens. Almost exactly what deepseek is pricing their API at. tl:dr they had to do a lot of work with H800 on nvlink and infiniband to get there, can do it with single H200 HGX
Securely experiment and build your own specialized agents, as the 671-billion-parameter DeepSeek-R1 model is now available as an NVIDIA NIM microservice in preview on build.nvidia.com. Learn more ➡️ nvda.ws/4grQaBq

The new Chia proof of space is very bullish. When I got into Chia, I believed this could be the tech that could finally rival Bitcoin. The Chia team has delivered a stable L1 since the launch in spring of 2021. Friendly reminder 🌎Decentralization matters ⛓️permissionless networks matter 🔒Chia's proof of space has remained secure, despite some leverage gained with extra computing over the last two years. While the spotlight is on AI, at some point again soon Bitcoin energy consumption will be scrutinized. The circular economy story is real, and Chia has the ability to absorb an absolutely insane amount of storage capacity and, in turn, network security as hyperscalers adopt circular business models. Here is some research we just published on the storage market. Cheers farmers! 🌱 ejbmr.org/index.php/ejbmr/ar…
