A Brief History of Rigged Elections. For 250 years American elections were fine. People who won, won, people who lost, conceded. No whining or crying. In 2016 Trump won. Hillary Clinton didn't whine. She conceded like a true American. But then in 2020 something happened. For the first time in our history, a presidential nominee who lost, Donald Trump, refused to concede. He cried, caused an insurrection, and had to be dragged out of the White House by his cankles. Cut to 2024. Trump wins. Again, no whining by Kamala Harris. She concedes like a true American. Now we're 16 days from midterms. And Donald is whining already. Blaming illegals, ID laws, mail-in-ballots, voting machines, dead people, Antifa, and socialists. He's right. We do have a rigging problem. It's called Donald Trump. Our system worked great for every election at every level for 250 years... Until jelly donut took office.

Today, just 17 days before the midterm elections, @Meta took down the national #NoKings Instagram account in the middle of the massive nationwide mobilization — then restored it and called it a “bad call.” That means it was done ON PURPOSE: Zuckerberg intentionally suppressed our 1st Amendment right to voice anti-Trump opinions on his platform. Simultaneously, No Kings content was suppressed on @X while Trump's triumphant return to Musk's platform to blast out endorsements of Republican Senate candidates was boosted. Why are Meta and X deliberately colluding to rig their algorithms in favor of Trump and Republicans, while silencing Democrats? Musk & Zuckerberg must disclose exactly what happened today — what was restricted, what was amplified, and most importantly why? Whose idea was it? Any guesses? Trump's Billionaire Tech Bros. strategically diminished the #NoKingsDay national activation while amplifying Trump's desperate posts the cheating POS prays will help him avoid impeachment, conviction, removal and incarceration. NOT A CHANCE.

Zelenskyy declares that Trump has betrayed Ukraine. All he asked for was the help to survive—for his country to survive. Yet, the president of an allied nation chose to stand with the aggressor. And now, the truth has finally been spoken aloud.

.@jamestalarico: That decision to stay home for a week sent my opponent and his conspiracy theorists spiraling. These false claims got millions of views online. This is what I call the rage economy. Conspiracy theorists can post anything they want on the internet. They get clicks. The billionaires who own these platforms get rich. We all get angry and nobody's life gets any better. Conspiracy theories don't put food on the table or gas in the tank. They don't actually improve our communities or improve our country.

Merrill College students know their rights as journalists. "Cat Murphy is a master's student at the University of Maryland, credentialed as a reporter for our Capital News Service and doing the job we teach our students to do. Cat recorded openly in a public space alongside other news outlets, and that is her legal right," Dean Rafael Lorente (@DeanLorente) said. "I'm proud of how she handled herself in a difficult situation."
Republican Rep. Andy Harris incorrectly told a reporter they were breaking the law as the reporter and others recorded an exchange with him last night. Harris had just wrapped up a debate with Democratic challenger Dan Schwartz.

55 years ago, Aretha Franklin's "Rock Steady" was released as a single. Bernard Purdie has said that during the recording Aretha’s lyric sheet slid off the piano. She told the band to keep going so she could pick it up. That stretch of music stayed in.

New Hampshire - yesterday. Still somewhat in awe, wrapping my head around all this. Up on that mountain, I experienced one of the most awe-inspiring moments I've ever been given as a photographer. This picture represents a rare confluence of contrasting elements: warmth and frost, transition and stillness - a reminder that the most breathtaking moments in nature cannot be rushed, like the dusting of snow and luminous high-country light of New Hampshire's Presidential Range we got to see yesterday. This picture will always be a special way to remember the incredible “snowliage” event of 2026. Prints available!
