It’s hard to accept the world we’re heading against and how the majority of individuals and businesses are still not doing their utmost to #ActOnClimate If I didn’t work on making this better every day, I honestly don’t know what I’d do. #Sustainability #ClimateActionNow
Here are the big takeaways from the @IPCC_CH Synthesis Report released today.
First, climate change has already caused widespread and substantial losses to almost every aspect of human life on this planet, and the impacts on future generations depend on the choices we make NOW.

I believe that if we treated climate breakdown as the emergency it truly is, we'd halt it faster than anyone can imagine. As a society, we are barely even trying yet. Let's try for real and see what happens! #EmergencyMode

Oceans need attention. Plankton in the Atlantic down 90%. Plankton is the base for the entire marine food chain.

CO2, lethal manmade chemicals in cosmetics, plastics, sunscreen, drugs and fertilisers, are inundating the marine environment. This is proving toxic to underwater life. Once the water becomes too acidity, plankton will simply dissolve.

This catastrophe is not the result of "inaction", as some would have it. It is the predictable result of decades of intentional decisions to prop up the fossil fuel industry and other corporate interests. This is what climate action under capitalism looks like.

Climate collapse is
supply chain collapse and
economic collapse and
reproductive and civil rights collapse and
social collapse and
democracy collapse and
ecosystem collapse and
biodiversity collapse and—
Everything is connected.
50% of the world’s population is underrepresented at all levels of impactful #climateaction decision-making, with devastating consequences for our livelihoods. I support #shechangesclimate in the crucial work to change status quo. Join in, it counts.

And we’re off! #electriccity2021 Good chat about #innovation as enabler for massive #transformation and #electrification needed to achieve a net zero future. We’re next talking about value chain #decarbonization with @Orsted @OwensCorning and @SchneiderElec Join us 11am hall C4
Excellent start to #electriccity2021 @LMWindPower continues #Sustainability leadership with a commitment to get rid off blade manufacturing waste. The #windenergy value chain is determined to lead a sustainable #energytransition 💪💚
We are proud that we will produce #ZeroWasteBlades by 2030, a significant milestone for our industry. The commitment is a step forward in our #sustainability journey after becoming the first #CarbonNeutral business in the wind industry renew.ge/3nGj5td #ElectricCity2021

Great round table today on supply chain complexities at @COP26 We need to collaborate, build #sustainability into everything, we need room to innovate. And we're open to the challenge. Now is the time. @EnelGroup @Forum4theFuture @generalelectric @Airbus @3M

This is a great example of cross-sector collaboration between @GErenewables and GM - combining strengths to improve supply of key materials for wind turbines and electric vehicles.
...just doing our part to accelerate the #energytransition.

We all fight for the things we love. I wrote this book because of who and what I love. Climate change affects us all, and to care about it and act on it we only need to be one thing: a human who loves. Buy now, wherever books are sold: simonandschuster.com/books/S…

Never forget that we had all the scientific evidence we needed to act on global warming over 40 years ago, but the fossil fuel industry spent millions to spread disinformation and block climate action.
Global warming isn’t a tragedy, it’s a crime.

According to the new IPCC report, the carbon budget that gives us the best odds of staying below 1,5°C runs out in less than 5 and a half years at our current emissions rate. Maybe someone should ask the people in power how they plan to “solve” that?

Today is #WorldOvershootDay - the day when we've used up the world's resources for 2021.
On national levels this date varies a lot. In my country Sweden it occurs on April 6th. We're not just stealing the future - we're also stealing the present from other parts of the world.
