Absolutely thrilled for this opportunity! I can’t thank Coach Kieschnick enough, not a better person in the country to learn from. #EatEmUpKats

Well said!! Sad day for @GoShockers @WichitaState - I’m sure there are some very loud critics of this short-sighted decision and hopeful they listen to solutions. @GoShockersMGLF Golf programs can be so much for a university and they are the closest sport as any to FB and MBB to being revenue positive! If resourceful and creative, golf programs can make money and AT WORST should be key university-wide relationship drivers

If you believe in golf and support the principles behind the sport… be vigilant, never take for granted your program, no matter the conference affiliation or past success. We live in tumultuous times in college athletics, Wichita St isn’t the last. Go support your program now!

This absolutely sucks... Program has a ton of history including #NCAAMGolf championship appearances beginning all the way back in 1953, and having one of college golf's great Hall of Famers Grier Jones

Wichita State just announced that it is discontinuing its NCAA men's and women's golf programs, effective immediately. The ripple effects from the House v. NCAA settlement have been felt at all levels of college sports. And now, they've reached Wichita. Here's WSU release:

Imagine losing entire college teams/programs that have long traditions and history and have created many opportunities and served well… simply because the need to pay a bench player $1.5M or so across the board at many schools. Need to cap this insanity.
