These bodyboards were collected by @OceanRecoveryProject on a single #beachclean 😳 Fortunately, they're uniting communities to tackle the problem by gathering these boards off UK beaches & stripping them down for #recycling. Amazing! 👏💪 #waveofwaste #zerowaste #surf

Heard of Project Drawdown? They believe we can start to pull #carbon out of the atmosphere by mid-century if we make the best of all #climatesolutions available now. One of these may be #bioplastics - if used in the right way. Read more here: buff.ly/3a4iB93

Seahorses - one of nature's greatest creations 😍 But boat anchors can destroy the #seagrass they need to thrive 😥 That's why we've joined forces with @TheSeahorseTrust to protect seagrass - and show seahorses some love! RT to show your support ❤️💜 📸 Neil Garrick-Maidment

Switching liquid soap to bar soap can significantly #reduceplastic ❤️ Only 10% of everyday #plastic gets recycled in the UK. So liquid soap bottles have a high chance of going to landfill or incineration 😱 Bar soap is a great alternative & even better from a #zerowaste shop.

Yes, another top tip 😁👌

Dreadful to see 😞

#Covid19 has hit #zerowaste shops hard. But they're at the forefront of the #plasticfree revolution & we need them to keep up the good work! 🙏 So grab loose coffee beans, refillable peanut butter or washing up liquid from your local zerowaste shop to show your support 💜 ❤️

Thanks for the tag, Wendy 😁 We can see a lot of great thought has gone into this 🥳 However, since most #plastic can only be #recycled once, improving rates of recycling & use of recycled plastic will never solve the problem. We need to design plastics out of our economies 🙏

Fabulous recommendations to check out, thank you! 🙏♥️

Yes, very frustrating when there is no #plasticfree option. Are you listening retailers? @Tesco @sainsburys @Morrisons @AldiUK @LidlGB #plasticpollution

This #plastic absolutely MUST go. For every day we dawdle, thousands of tonnes of plastic is ending up in the sea. ACT NOW @sainsburys ❗️ #zerowaste
