I read Freedom’s Forge back in 2016. My grandfather gifted me it. Manufacturing pilled me over a decade ago. Glad to see it having success. Great book. Highly recommend

The more things change, the more they stay the same Your country will be economically stagnant if you are not pursuing automation (physically or digitially) People will disregard the second and third order effects of a productivity increase New industries and more jobs
Alexander Hamilton fought anti-automation and pro-import arguments in the 1700s that hardly differ from the modern day.

First iteration of the test bench that I am designing for this project I want to assemble, test, iterate, repeat until I am confident that fit, form, and function are met with my individual components I think it will be easier to validate the layout and wiring in stages

Project Update: Extended the yoke so laser turret can tilt 270°, target behind, and not interfere with the LiDAR. Both servos rotate 270° max. 360° pan will get wiring tangled. Would have to make it more complex to compensate. LiDAR in the front now Two depth sensors as well

Going to be second guessing what I ask ChatGPT going forward I’m honestly suprised that’s the stupidest thing I’ve told it

I wouldn’t be suprised if the Iran war is actually motivating boomers to vote for the GOP They understand Iran’s history vs the USA more than other generations The last thing they would want to do is “lose to Iran” by letting democrats overperform

I still think one of the biggest obstacles for maximizing AI productivity is bloated corporate management structure Start ups and smaller companies don’t have this problem, but most of the legacy companies will still move as slow as a turtle

Dunking with a regulation size basketball is very tough You have to get up and over the rim by a fair amount when you go to regulation size
dunked on 9'9.5" today that's 1.5" higher than five days ago 2.5" shy of a ten foot rim a 6" ball is helpful to focus on jumping full size ball is definitely going to be a problem

Skill issue Walked around my neighborhood around 6 pm with my wife Saw children playing outside. Parents hanging out together. Had discussion on community events. Younger neighborhoods are like this Older boomer neighborhoods are sterile now. Young families can’t afford them.
Americans are productive AF. But there isn't much community. No after-work meetups at the pub. No popping over to neighbors houses unannounced. No kids playing with other kids and group dinners several nights / wk. And I think thats why most Americans are miserable.

1 thing I admire about @jimbelosic and @sendcutsend is they hire employees from different backgrounds. He appreciates the new perspective that they bring in. He invests into training and pays well to retain. No secret why they are expanding rapidly without sacrificing quality.
Okay it’s happening: - Added 160k square feet in Reno for our automated high volume lines and parts up to 5’x10’. Operational now. - Added 170k square feet in Pittston PA for 1-day shipping (or faster) to the Northeast US. Landing machines and growing the team now. - Southeast US is next (flying out next week to negotiate a lease). 3 more leases in 3 more states to sign after that. Expect massive lead time reductions across our factory network. - Finalizing our first acquisition and working on the second and third. These are services you’ve been asking for. More coming. We’ll be able to say yes to more of your BOM. - Welding is ramping nicely. More assembly support soon. - More materials and capabilities for CNC machining in development now, including much smarter pricing. Increased capacity will also help us cut lead time drastically. - Added 450 people so far this year. Hopefully double that in 2027. - Candy and merch budgets have been tripled. …And we’re just getting started. That’s a big part of why we raised again: to build more, ship faster, and make manufacturing easier and more accessible. I’m doing my best for ya. I love you guys. Big thanks to @willreed at @sparkcapital , @caitlinbolnick1 at @CRV, @marksugarman at MHS, @andrew__reed at @sequoia and @matthuang at @paradigm for supporting our Series B (and the extra rocket fuel) LFG!!!!! 🇺🇸

It’s funny how US politics is coming down to mogging the opponent “Mogging” was coined in 2000. A term more than 25 years old. It is a very Lindy principle though. Very deep evolutionary roots. One of the original ways to find a partner to reproduce.
It's funny that James Talarico has chosen to use Friday Night Lights in his final campaign message. Because if he ever actually went to a football game, the first thing he would do is apologize for the masculinity of everyone in the stadium.

You have to be very proactive in your career today or you will get left behind It is increasingly rare to see an organization take care of their employees financially and spend time developing them The employee-employer relationship our parents knew has been broken

Concur with this Working on expanding my software skills + applying it Made a program that will generate an I beam cross section based on inputs & output static M.S and fatigue life instantly Allows me to quickly analyze cross sections at any distance from load on the I beam
if you're an engineer, i highly recommend learning how to write software. it's very rewarding, and as it turns out, very useful for mechanical at least, i don't feel like i'm losing my engineering ability despite getting into software. it seems to be like riding a bike

Might be the best beef jerky I’ve ever had Fresh from a South African. Shaved it right on the spot Biltong is the technical name for it. Very tender and savory Much better than American beef jerky

Update to the Laser Turret LiDAR Car Project Step closer to ordering more parts and assembling I like the aesthetic of the Laser Turret I think this design will work, but you never know until you put it together

Spectacular performance by the Thunderbirds today Got some really cool pictures You don't appreciate the required skill to perform these maneuvers until you see pictures like these
