Observing challenge!
Want to try for Sirius B, the famous white dwarf? Sirius A and B are still at about the widest apparent separation of their 50-year orbit. You'll want at least a 10-inch scope and a night of really excellent seeing.

First image of Jupiter, with Io and it's shadow, and the GRS, taken with my new Uranus-M mono camera last night.
The plan is to get an IR pass filter which will hopefully help me get sharper mono images to use as a luminance layer combined with colour from my Uranus-C camera.

Early Sunday morning, the Moon and Spica will be 3° or 4° apart. And as early dawn brightens, Mercury will rise some four fists lower left of the Moon. Fainter Beta Scorpii will shimmer 0.6° lower right of Mercury.

Jupiter one-shot-colour, infra red and methane from the good seeing on the 3rd Feb. You can tell its a good night when the one shot colour image shows as much (or more) detail as the infra-red image

M42 The Orion Nebula (starless version)
Old data that I reprocessed yesterday.
I'm not totally happy with the result. For example, the Trapezium Cluster at the core of the Orion Nebula is overexposed and overstretched.
But hey, that's astrophotography, too. It's not always about pretty, perfect pictures. Even with years of experience, you can still fail and mess up your images.
Astrophotography can be very frustrating and involves much trial and error.
Therefore, you need character traits like patience and perseverance to keep going.
And eventually, with a lot of testing out and practice, you will create a wonderful result.
If you want to learn more about M42 The Orion Nebula and my progress in astrophotography through examples of M42 The Orion Nebula, follow the link to my portfolio in the comments.
