“That was cyberstalking.” Lev looked offended. I looked victorious. Then, with one last warning glance at my brother, I leaned into Saša and said low enough for Lev to hate it, “Come on, husband touch me. Before I have to start actually maiming relatives.”

Of course I noticed. My mouth twitched. “Oh.” Her eyes narrowed. “Oh, what?” “Nothing.” “Lev.” “Absolutely nothing.” I turned toward the window before she could interrogate me further. There was no reason to tell Saša that this was unprecedented.

He would figure it out soon enough. The way she stayed against him told the story perfectly well without my help. And if he was smart? He’d understand exactly how much trust Zoyechka had just placed in his hands. I glanced back once. “Still might steal him, though.”

“I’m not spending anything.” I grinned. “Correction. She doesn’t authorize this much spending.” “Lev.” I looked toward her. “Yes?” Her eyes narrowed. “Touch him and lose the hand.” I glanced at Saša. Then back at her. “Now that sounds serious.”
