Another example:
2 people on separate levels of the hierarchy cos why are you mad about something that solves a problem for both of you?
I can also play devil’s advocate and say that bringing the thread here and speaking in a language that implies unrequited love, means that she does not understand everything that happened.
She might do it again with someone on another level of the hierarchy.
That Harley knows you’re lonely and so she misses you babe fell in love with someone she should have left alone.
He probably did not hate her but he had a lot to deal with and she was living a fantasy.
They were not on the same level on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and you actually need to analyze your relationship from this angle.
If you ignore these placements, you’ll waste your emotional energy and your conflicts will continue to escalate.
Your story is valid and when you bring it to twitter everyone will tell you what you want to hear, but you can’t solve simple problems when your partner needs to rest.
At this point both of you are exhausted (you with your emotional labour and himself with his lack of sleep) and the last thing he’ll do is tell you to stay in your house.
The best relationships begin on the same level of needs and then scale together into self-actualization.
That man needed to rest and if he was not going to do it in her own bed, she should have simply left him alone and stayed in her house.
Her going to meet him on his concrete floor is an indication that she had eaten and was well rested.
She was on level 3 and so her cravings were love and emotional support.
Owning a car could have easily placed her on level 4 too, because in Nigeria, that can signal a social standing and make people respect you.
You cannot expect someone that is scouting (sleep deprived, overwhelmed, irritable and with a broken nervous system) to be excited about level 3, and then offer it to another human.
When you date someone that needs to fulfill level 1, you should understand that they’re in survival mode and probably unwell and so they might lack empathy, patience and the language to communicate that they’re stuck.
Don’t expect them to smother you with love.
All of you that have been obsessed with Power of You never said anything about Guava.
I’d have gotten my bottle long before now.

There’s a difference between saying something is too expensive for you personally and questioning whether the price is commensurate with the value being offered. My issue is with how quickly any conversation about the latter gets shut down with “you’re not the target market.” Nobody is saying vendors shouldn’t charge what they want. We’re saying that charging a price and justifying that price are two different conversations.

Like okay, it’s good work. but come on? And I hate how we can’t have an honest conversation about the pricing of a service without someone telling you you’re not the target market. We are in the poverty capital of the world fgs. Sometimes, people are simply questioning whether the price is commensurate with the value being offered. You can charge whatever you want, but people should also be allowed to question the pricing without being made to feel like they’re too broke to have an opinion.
You were supposed to resell it to someone that is obsessed with Van Cleef.
