The evolution of Alexander Volkanovski over the years. If he defends successfully against Mosvar Evloev, is he the featherweight GOAT?

Is it just me, or does the UFC just feel like it’s in a weird spot at the minute? Something just doesn’t feel the same. The lack of genuine superstars, those massive fights that used to get everyone talking, the excitement around certain matchups… it just doesn’t seem to hit the same anymore. I feel like there was a time when a big UFC fight genuinely felt like a massive event. The build-up, the rivalries, the personalities. You couldn’t wait for fight night. The anxiety before the walkouts. Now, don’t get me wrong, the talent is still there. There are some incredible fighters on the roster, but I feel like there’s a lack of those REAL superstars who can bring in casual fans and make people who don’t even follow MMA want to watch. Maybe it’s because there are so many events now that nothing feels as special. Maybe it’s just nostalgia and looking back at the likes of McGregor, Rousey, Jones, Silva and GSP. Or maybe I’m completely wrong and we’re in a great era of the sport. But I can’t be the only one who feels like something is missing at the minute?

I’ve seen a lot of people giving @bisping son stick online after getting knocked out, and honestly, I think some of you need to give your head a wobble. You can laugh at a knockout, that’s part of combat sports, but there’s a difference between having a laugh and piling on someone who’s just put himself out there. He’s the son of a former UFC world champion. People are going to have expectations, and the internet was always going to be ruthless if things didn’t go his way. But how many of the people mocking him would actually have the balls to get in there themselves? He’s taken a risk, he’s competed, and he’s experienced something that plenty of people would never put themselves through. Getting knocked out doesn’t make you a failure. It’s part of fighting. Give the lad some respect. He can learn from this, come back, and have another go. That’s what matters.
damn, Michael Bisping’s son got slept

Is that the best we’ve ever seen Nathan Aspinall? Treble 20 took a hammering! Unplayable. A Joyce to watch 👏
