How anyone can look at the last 2 years in America and think "yes, let's do 2-4 more years of that please" is beyond me...
That's literally the textbook definition of insanity.
No. Thank. You. 🤦🏼♀️

The reason I am doing what I'm doing now is because of *this* paragraph in the opening lines of @JohnPiper's Desiring God:
The heroes of this book are Jesus Christ, who “endured the cross for the joy that was set before him”; and St. Paul, who was “sorrowful, yet always rejoicing”; and Jonathan Edwards, who deeply savored the sweet sovereignty of God; and C. S. Lewis, who knew that the Lord “finds our desires not too strong but too weak”; and all the missionaries who have left everything for Christ and in the end said, “I never made a sacrifice.”

This is the Florida I want. The Florida I miss.
When it looks, walks, and talks like Caesar ...
it is antiChrist.

Thr conservative Christians who are still standing with Samuel Sey are doing so because they believe he is a good man, a Christian man, a family man, even a fellow conservative, certainly not a criminal.
For whatever reason they can't make the leap between their friends and the hundreds of thousands of people who are just like him. They can't see that these are also good people who made decisions about jobs, family, safety, and just didn't fill out the right paperwork.
They can't imagine that these other people are also good.
When I was in graduate school, I met a couple who stressed out at the possibility that immigration wanted to deport the wife. She came here on a student visa, fell in love and now, was trying to stay here legally with her husband. There was no crime but according to them, they were being treated with suspicion and found the whole ordeal stressful and scary.

This was a plausible theory among McConnell allies at the time; he still had a lot of juice then. Could his conviction vote win 10 Republicans? It’s at least plausible. If so the Senate could have barred Trump from running again. McConnell voted to acquit and the rest is history.
Former Rep. @Liz_Cheney (R-WY) says she believes President Trump would have been convicted if Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) decided to convict: "I think if he had voted to convict, we would have had enough Republicans who would have followed him that he would've been convicted."

Mediaite: Kamala Harris Advises Democrats Not To Impeach Trump
“I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea, just to be honest with you,” she replied.
“Just because we have limited resources and I think the energy and the resources need to be put into accountability, need to be put into investigations. And that’s where the time should be spent.”

Loves Cheesecake Factory so much he pretended to visit it
Barack Obama actually compared President Trump’s White House to Saddam Hussein opening a Cheesecake Factory.
Imagine being a former president and thinking that’s a clever insult.
The Cheesecake Factory is a great American success story. Good food, hardworking employees, and millions of customers who love eating there.
Obama thought he was insulting Trump, but he managed to drag a popular American restaurant into his cheap political joke.
Americans are enjoying their cheesecake while Obama is still bitter about Trump.
What an embarrassment.
