Ok now that I’ve stopped punching the air & jumping up and down, I have a serious point to make about why I (and many others) am so thrilled about this win. Firstly, @spitlip deserve it - but secondly: (🧵 1/3)

1. I don’t often tweet about my personal life, but on 1st November, my mum Jane was hit by a large vehicle as a pedestrian in St. Louis, USA. She suffered a severe brain injury & remains in a coma in hospital. Here's Jane & me in happier times.

Time's a funny thing, isn't it @TCCOBBmusical? Reading my review of @swkplay run makes me more happy its West End run is actually happening because I knew I watched something special back then - it proves the best new musicals on now are the ones that took the time to grow.

THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “One of the most enchanting and life-affirming musicals in the West End right now, @TCCOBBmusical is easily one of my top shows of 2024” i.mtrbio.com/zkfvyhmbym

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button | Ambassador's Theatre - Mica Blackwell

In a review where I called it ‘one of the most riveting new musicals, I manifested a West End transfer of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button basically as soon as I left the Southwark Playhouse...

What’s left to say about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button @TCCOBBmusical @MusicDJC except that it is one of a kind and that its joy and heartache derive from an age old need to tell stories through song. Its brilliant ensemble make it feel like one glorious improvisation ❤️👏

The fact that Operation Mincemeat is heading to Broadway should be celebrated loudly! Not only a British musical but one that started at the fringe! I cannot stress the importance fringe theatre is for the UK! We need to make it viable for all involved cos it creates diamonds!

we are obviously very happy but the loss and cuts of fringe venues and festivals across the UK means fewer shows like ours will emerge- plz do give your local small venues love and support and moooneyyyyyyyy ✨✨✨

In 2022. I ran the new musical theatre writing course at RCSSD. Two of the writers Anne McCall and Marcia Vidal Nolte were paired with Leo Elso and together wrote an amazing 15 minute musical. A rock zombie version of Romeo and Juliet.

Tis the season again, reminder that you gotta remove the vent tack from your new coat! Still trying to think of a courteous way to tell strangers this in the way one might tell someone they have TP stuck to their shoe 🤔
