Absolutely delighted that Shaff has been appointed to the Lords - he'll do an amazing job.
He was out delivering thank you leaflets for me in the wind and rain when he found out, just goes to show how hard a worker he is! Truly excellent news!
I’m delighted that Shaffaq Mohammed will be joining the Lib Dem team in the House of Lords.
@ShaffaqMohd has dedicated his life to youth work, public service and local government. He will be an excellent peer, standing up for young people, our environment and for Yorkshire.

So much for pushing for more compensation for @WASPI_Campaign , after letting down pensioners over Winter Fuel , young families with the 2 Child Benefit Cap, NI increases and Farmers Tax, it’s clear that you can’t trust @Keir_Starmer & @UKLabour MP’s to keep their promise, #WASPI
After the supreme effort of campaigners, today's report is a long overdue acknowledgement that the DWP failed #WASPI women.
But the recommended compensation of £1000-£2500 isn't good enough. They are owed far more. I'll continue to push for fair compensation @WASPI_Campaign

It's been a wonderful day chatting with local residents, listening to their concerns and views.
People across the ward are already sick of Labour, and are voting for a fresh face and a fresh start with myself and the @SheffLibDems team. – at Sheffield, England
Another day out for @WoodhouseWillis
Another day of voters saying that they are already done with @UKLabour

Crystal Palace is one of the most expensive places to live in Croydon. Sadly the council have rejected plans for a genuinely affordable housing scheme delivered by @CPalaceCLT

I have signed the letter from @libdemdaisy to the Chancellor calling for a huge rethink on Business Rates.
Our proposed new system would
💷 Base the rate on value of land where the business is.
🔍 Move revaluations to an annual basis.
📈 Protect local govt. finances.

While Labour are painting austerity red and trying to blag it off as fiscal responsibility, Lib Dems in Sheffield are fighting to protect vulnerable people and vital public services.
This November, Woodhouse gets to choose whether to stick with Labour, or vote for real change.

⭐️So special to speak at @CommonsSpeaker’s reception to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth!
💪🏾Proud to be the 1st Black person ever elected as a @LibDems MP in the most diverse Parliament yet—but we’ve got further to go to diversify this place.
🔥I’m fired up to play my part in that!

Tomorrow, residents in one ward of Stockport will face a very big question:
Who will stand up for Bredbury, Bredbury Green, and Romiley?
The answer is clear — it’s the hardworking local champion at the heart of the community… @RachelBresnahan! 🔶
ALT Luke, a campaigner, smiles while holding a bundle of Liberal Democrat election leaflets that read ‘WHO? …will stand up for Bredbury, Bredbury Green and Romiley?’ on a street with shops and a wooden fence in the background.

Another child has been trampled to death trying to reach Britain because our governments refuse to have safe and legal routes followed by proper process.
Handing the vulnerable over to criminal gangs leads to unbelievable cruelty. This is not who we are.
