Earlier this year, like many other women, I was deeply impacted by the senseless murder of Aisling Murphy in my hometown. I bared my soul to my @LucanToastMstrs club about how our society needs to change how we treat women. Thrilled to have it recognized as speech of the year 鈽猴笍

My heart hurts for my community at home who have been robbed not only of a beautiful young woman, but of our sense of safety in a place that held cherished memories. I grew up on the banks of the canal, fishing, walking, cycling this very route. It always felt like home. Safe.
