This should be fine. Nothing ever happens when they run simulations like this.

Converting $25k of the digital pixels in your checking account to nickels only weighs in at a cool 2.75 tons. 75% Cu / 25% Ni. A pain in the ass. But alfa, nonetheless. Hardest step is the first. Start with $1,000.
After the penny, Congress is coming for the nickel. A new bill would let the Treasury test a cheaper metal mix for the 5-cent coin. The reason: it costs nearly 13 cents to make one. That's more than 2.5x what it's worth. The U.S. Mint stopped making pennies last November for the same reason.

Pretty interesting new defi primitive/experiment, to say the least.
papertrade launch details papertrade is a fair launched smart contract exchange built on the hyperevm blockchain. as a fully onchain protocol, papertrade has significant advantages - decentralization, reliability, composability, transparency. it also has the usual onchain constraint - throughput. trades on papertrade are atomic opens/closes with no orderbook, so during normal trading sessions congestion will not be an issue. however, during launch we expect extreme chain congestion. 10.08.2026 - phase zero: predeposit only two days before live trading begins, papertrade.xyz will open for user deposits. trading will be paused during this period. this allows separation of the deposit and account creation transactions from live trading. if a user does not complete these steps, they are likely to face long delays during launch, as active trading will be heavily prioritized over deposit processing. there is no further advantage to depositing earlier during this phase. 10.10.2026 - phase one: frontend only live trading in order to prevent an onchain race and remove the incentive skew that mev creates, all transactions during the launch must go through the papertrade.xyz frontend, using the whitelisted relayers. the contract itself will not be open for direct interaction during this phase. this ensures that real frontend users are the first participants, flattening the technical skill curve as far as is appropriate. during this phase, all trader activity on papertrade lives in an intent system, and carries a priority weighting. in almost all cases this ordering is done by transaction type and notional value, and is always indiscriminate of user/account. for instance, liquidations are more important than position opens and this is reflected in both activity types' respective weightings. that said the exact mechanics and weightings of the relayer intent system are adaptive, and will change over time as trader activity is processed. trades can be cancelled while still pending within the relayer intent system. the paper token will begin minting on user losses at the start of live trading, from an initial supply of 0. it will not be transferable at the start beyond staking and unstaking, in order to encourage trading adoption and mitigate onchain congestion. after launch - phase 2: open contract once the launch congestion has passed and there is no longer any risk of mev wars, the papertrade smart contract will open up to everyone, allowing any human, contract or agent to write and receive an onchain atomic position. at this point papertrade becomes a fully decentralized, composable onchain liquidity primitive. after launch - phase 3: builder codes builder codes allow any frontend or router to receive the 1% frontend fee by sending trades to the papertrade smart contract, further decentralizing the protocol and incentivizing integration. after launch - phase 4: token transferrability at launch, paper will not be transferable. this is to encourage accumulation through trading participation and reduce onchain congestion load. transfers will be enabled after a sufficient period of time has passed. even with this staged rollout, the launch congestion will be significant. expect lengthy confirmation delays during launch especially for smaller notional trades. predeposit if you want to trade at launch for the best chance at a smooth experience. learn more about how papertrade works at: docs.papertrade.xyz/

@MikeJamesBTC - This should be up your alley. Just vibe-manufacturing. fr tho, starting to see how we move from mass produced crap to individually designed xyz on demand.

This probably would have been labeled better as, “Introducing, SoFuckingCooked”
Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test. 48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video. It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard. cellcog.ai/blog/tavus-gri… research.nvidia.com/labs/amri/proj… tech-ish.com/2026/10/02/tav…

Mostly this. Soon… Long 2’s, short Spoos…
What’s going to happen is fiscal dominance will increasingly collide with a synchronized global contraction and recessionary monetary policy. As the U.S. and other major economies weaken together, global demand, trade and credit creation will deteriorate, forcing central banks toward easing at roughly the same time and driving a powerful safe haven bid into long duration sovereign bonds. In the U.S., the 2 year yield will fall much faster than the 10 year as markets price aggressive Fed cuts, while the 10 year and 30 year also rally as investors seek liquidity, duration and protection from collapsing growth. That produces a classic bull steepener where the entire curve moves lower but the front end falls faster. Recession, disinflation and global risk aversion should dominate initially, allowing long yields to fall substantially before fiscal pressures begin pushing back. That is where fiscal dominance becomes the defining second stage. A synchronized downturn will widen deficits globally as tax revenues weaken and governments respond with stimulus, guarantees and support programs just as debt servicing burdens are already elevated. The initial safe haven bid can therefore drive long yields sharply lower, but enormous sovereign issuance and rising term premiums may eventually limit how long they stay there. The system becomes caught between global contraction pulling long rates down and fiscal dominance eventually placing a structural floor under them.

The Graph $GRT was a great trade at the bottom — the incumbent indexer with the deepest ecosystem and the strongest brand in the space. $SQD is the other major decentralized indexer, with a data-lake architecture and a market cap roughly a tenth of GRT's. I'm just adding exposure to the indexing category, and SQD is the other name in it. With on-chain activity firing on all cylinders, the demand for data will increase, and I do believe the indexing category is being overlooked for now. This market wont move without Oracles and Indexers, study them. Im betting on you @helloSQD and @graphprotocol 👊

a. cool product in theory b. ~16% APR is your cost c. some interesting game theory ops imo (first glance, no prepayment penalties, no credit agency reporting, iykyk)....not advocating ofc d. pair with an option strat? maybe? e. BNPL for bitcoin:native - what part of the cycle is this?
BTCNOW LAUNCHES “PAY-OVER-TIME” BITCOIN PURCHASES WITH 60 MONTHLY PAYMENTS @BTCNowHQ has launched a new model allowing customers to lock in a Bitcoin purchase at today’s price while paying for it over five years. Unlike dollar-cost averaging, the Bitcoin price is fixed when the purchase is made rather than changing with each monthly payment. The company says: • Payments are spread across 60 fixed monthly installments • Bitcoin is held in trust until fully paid • BitGo provides custody • There are no margin calls or forced liquidations from BTC price declines • A U.S.-wide rollout is planned over the coming months The model effectively brings “buy now, pay later” financing to Bitcoin, allowing customers to secure BTC upfront without paying the full purchase amount on day one.

$GRT is the only indexer with a token that @circle will be working with in an official capacity once the ARC chain is launched on September 16th. Seeds planted couple weeks ago, now i wait for the 16th to hit. Easy mode......... I also believe half of the Robinhood chain volume will take a hit starting the 16th. Picks and shovels kind of bet on GRT. @graphprotocol im betting on you 👊
