I've just realised that our pinned tweet was our lockdown offer of help, and really we should do a new thread about who we are and what we do. 🧵
We are a church group based on an estate in Wigan. Jesus said the he had come to proclaim good news to the poor, we do the same.
It's the first @WiganWestHub BBQ on Thursday, midday - 2pm. Come join us for some free food and fun!

We're really enjoying our weekend away at @thesurfstage! It's even better now the rain has stopped
It was so good to be back in @stjameswigan school this afternoon to meet years 4, 5, and 6!
We can't wait to be back to meet everyone else.
This afternoon, St James’ had the pleasure of welcoming Lighthouse into our school to speak to our children about the fantastic work that they do in our local area and update us with all the amazing things they have planned to do with our school! @LighthouseWigan
We're at the #notforgotten23 estates church conference and it's brilliant! We're feeling encouraged already, it's so good to be around people with the same heart for our estates and the people there ❤️

I’m a little weary of the ‘Jesus-centered’ ideology that sounds so good but keeps its distance from marginalized, poor, victimized, excluded folks… ‘good’ theology with no Justice is just more dead religion pretending to be edgy. 🧵

It's hard to believe this was a year ago!
We're still incredibly grateful to the teachers and support staff at @stjameswigan.
We hope you have a fabulous summer, enjoy your hard-earned break!
We are incredibly grateful for all the staff at @stjameswigan! So we gave them a goodie bag and a home-made thank you plaque each.
We believe in God. We believe that God loves our estate, we believe God loves social justice and that he's on our side.
In pre-covid times we gathered in @stjameswigan school and we'd love to get back in there. It's in the heart of our community and we believe that working together we can make a bigger difference to our estate.

Over the last few years we've had a huge amount of support from @Joshua_Centre of @LivDiocese both financially and in helping us keep our vision for @stjameswigan and our estate alive and on track. It's wonderful to have won an award in recognition for what we've achieved.
