Agriculture remains the backbone of Kirinyaga鈥檚 economy, contributing approximately 42% of our Gross County Product and supporting 87% of our population. Through Wezesha Kirinyaga, we have made significant progress in strengthening farmers and increasing production across key value chains.
馃敼 Supported over 100,000 farming households and funded 804 farmer groups with KSh253.28 million.
馃敼 Rice production increased from 65,000 to 210,000 metric tonnes annually, generating approximately KSh16 billion for farmers.
