Past self fail: accidentally checking numbers against the file page and not visible page number.
Past self win: careful margin notes with all internal references
Alright, past me. It's a wash.

Combatting the existential dread as my doctoral defense approaches with caffeine and coziness.
Hope I don't need this mug much longer . . .

Prepping for my defense, and sharing one of my hymns in the dissertation/thesis with you today.

One of my "tells" is that I make grammar mistakes when I'm stressed. Which is really cool, because a grammar mistake in an important email definitely won't stress me out more. ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ #pleasedontjudgemyverbagreement #PhDlife
Yesterday, my Viva/defense date was scheduled. Today, the uni sent the ceremony invitation for January. So so close!! Terror-induced prep work to commence in 3 . . . 2 . . . #PhDlife #PhD

Stanza 1 of today's draft, drawing from Romans 8, beginning with verse 18. Considering this alternate ending: . . . when Christ comes in sight.
Thoughts?

What a wonderful way to start the year: two doctoral students submitting on the same day!! Congratulations to @LisaMClark1. Her work in writing hymns has been utterly fascinating.
Is it my last first day or my first last day?
@UoBWriting hasn't started classes for the fall yet, but it was a big day anyway! I hit "submit" on my doctoral dissertation.
I still have to defend my work. But it's another big milestone!
Big hugs to @MimiThebo

My first @UoBrisEnglish @UoBWriting PhD student, @LisaMClark1, submitted her thesis yesterday, and my MA tutees, @sophdimaida and @kayceepoet, submitted their dissertations today! Congratulations, all! ๐โค๏ธ๐พ

There just something about walking on my school's campus and hugging some dear people. #Phdlife @UoBWriting @Carrie_Etter @MimiThebo
It's been almost a week since I finished a big assignment, and I'm still all . . .

Working through a bunch of edits, and I have to admit that I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
The view doesn't hurt.

Forgot to take a pic, but celebrated a little research success last night with gyros and saganaki on an outdoor patio. Inch by inch, marking each milestone . . .
