It’s #TechieTuesday, and this week’s developments highlight institutional ETH trading on Canton, stronger stablecoin risk controls, expanded crypto licensing, and new ways to spend digital assets through existing payment networks: 🏦 BETH, a wrapped ETH asset backed 1:1 by ETH, has launched for trading on Canton Network. The launch adds another option for institutional ETH trading within Canton’s privacy-focused infrastructure, where selective data sharing supports regulated financial activity. It also adds to the network’s growing ecosystem of exchange, lending and yield applications. 🛡️ Mastercard has launched Stablecoin Security, a service that combines payment data with blockchain analytics to help banks and payment providers identify potential fraud, scams, sanctions exposure and other financial crime risks before stablecoin transactions settle. Borderless.xyz and Keyrails are its initial partners, with global commercial availability expected in 2027. ⚖️ Revolut has received a Distributed Ledger Technology Provider licence from Gibraltar’s Financial Services Commission through its new subsidiary, Revolut Global Digital Assets Limited. The authorisation will support the fintech’s expansion into additional international markets, although it has not yet disclosed the countries it plans to enter or when services will launch. 💳 Visa and crypto payments network Mesh have partnered to enable users of participating crypto and stablecoin wallets to spend their digital assets at merchants across Visa’s global payment network. Mesh will handle transaction funding and conversion into fiat currency, allowing merchants to receive payments through existing Visa infrastructure without changing their checkout systems. Supported wallets and rollout dates are yet to be announced. TL;DR: Canton adds a wrapped ETH trading option, Mastercard is bringing pre-settlement risk screening to stablecoin payments, Revolut is expanding its regulatory reach, and Visa and Mesh are working to make crypto and stablecoin spending available across an existing global merchant network. #Crypto #Blockchain #Web3 #CantonNetwork #Stablecoins #Payments #RWA

🔎 It’s #ChainWatchThursday, and what’s new with @WalrusProtocol as verifiable storage becomes an increasingly important part of AI and Web3 infrastructure? 🧠 @Matterhorn is using Walrus Memory to preserve AI agents’ project context, including documentation, audit findings and deployment history, across sessions and teams. This means less repeated work and a verifiable record of the information agents rely on. 🛠️ Walrus has also launched Console, giving developers one place to manage files and agent memory, connect AI tools like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor through MCP or APIs, and protect data with encryption and on-chain verification. New users can get started with 5GB free. 📈 Market interest has picked up too. Since Console’s launch on 7 October, $WAL has risen from around $0.037 to $0.053, while its market cap stands at roughly $138M, according to CoinGecko. These figures add market context to Walrus’s recent product developments, though they don’t establish a direct cause-and-effect relationship. #Walrus #ChainWatch #AI #Web3 #DecentralisedStorage

It’s #TechieTuesday, and this week’s developments highlight tighter crypto regulation, growing institutional use of stablecoins, expanded access to regulated crypto trading, and new protections against trading exploits: 🇰🇷 South Korea has approved measures to block domestic access to 27 websites operated by unregistered crypto exchanges and virtual asset service providers, including KuCoin, MEXC, Phemex and Bitrue. The restrictions extend existing enforcement against unregistered platforms beyond mobile apps to websites. Authorities have also acknowledged that affected users may face difficulties withdrawing their assets and plan to provide withdrawal guidance and support. 🏦 Standard Chartered has launched institutional custody for Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin on the XRP Ledger through its Dubai International Financial Centre branch. The bank also plans to extend its collateral model to LMAX Group, allowing eligible clients to use RLUSD holdings as trading collateral without transferring the tokens to the trading platform. The proposed arrangement remains subject to documentation, testing, regulatory requirements and internal approvals. ⚖️ Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has received full approval from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority for its local entity to provide crypto services. The planned rollout would give UAE customers access to spot and margin trading in UAE dirham-denominated pairs, alongside direct deposits and withdrawals. Kraken is targeting a launch in the coming weeks. 🛡️ Aptos has launched its optional Encrypted Mempool feature on mainnet to help protect users against frontrunning and sandwich attacks. Compatible wallets and apps encrypt transaction details before submission, keeping assets, amounts and other contents hidden while validators determine transaction order. The transactions are decrypted collectively after ordering is finalised. The protection comes with higher minimum gas costs and a small increase in processing time. TL;DR: South Korea is tightening access to unregistered crypto platforms, Standard Chartered is expanding RLUSD custody and planned collateral use, Kraken is preparing to offer dirham-based trading in the UAE, and Aptos is adding an optional layer of protection against transaction-ordering exploits. #Crypto #Blockchain #Web3 #Stablecoins #DeFi #Aptos #RLUSD #CryptoRegulation

It’s #TechieTuesday, and this week’s developments show blockchain moving deeper into tokenised equities, institutional finance, regulatory infrastructure, and protocol upgrades: 🏦 OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) have notified the SEC of plans for 24/7 trading of tokenised versions of more than 60 major US stocks, including Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, and Tesla. The proposed platform would operate on OKX’s X Layer through permissioned Uniswap pools, with each token backed 1:1 by the corresponding shares and carrying rights such as dividends and voting. 📈 Solana recorded about $4.4 billion in tokenised-equities trading in September, highlighting the continued growth of real-world assets onchain. Across 39 blockchains, the broader RWA sector reached roughly $38.8 billion in distributed value and 5.11 million holders, with institutions continuing to expand tokenised products and infrastructure. ⚖️ The CFTC is advancing a proposed crypto regulatory framework even after the US Senate failed to pass the CLARITY Act. CFTC Chair Michael Selig outlined proposals that would create a national regulatory pathway for certain crypto businesses, including a proposed “crypto asset market” category for exchanges and rules covering retail crypto trading involving margin, leverage, or financing. 🛡️ Zcash has activated its NU7 network upgrade on testnet ahead of a targeted November 5 mainnet launch. The upgrade would reduce target block spacing from 75 seconds to 25 seconds, disable version 4 transactions, and introduce a Network Sustainability Mechanism that redirects part of transaction fees toward future block rewards. Developers are expected to make the final mainnet decision on October 20. TL;DR: Wall Street is pushing further into 24/7 tokenised equities, Solana is seeing billions in tokenised-stock activity, US regulators are moving ahead with crypto rules despite the stalled CLARITY Act, and Zcash is putting its next major network upgrade through live testing. #Crypto #Tokenization #Blockchain #RWA #Solana #Zcash #Web3 #DeFi

✨ It’s #ChainWatchThursday, and what’s new with @pharos_network as its RealFi ecosystem starts moving from individual assets toward a more connected market? 🤔 🏦 APC3M is now usable as collateral on Pharos, going live in an isolated USDC lending market on @Morpho with pricing streamed from an on-chain NAV oracle. Holders can now borrow USDC against APC3M without selling the underlying position, while the SharpByte USDC Pharos Ecosystem Vault provides USDC liquidity to the market. 💵 More RealFi products are also becoming accessible. Axil Pot (APT), a professionally managed yield product from @Official_Axil, is now available through @R25Official, giving USDC holders access to a real-world credit strategy targeting around 8% APY with T+0 instant redemption. 🤖 Agent infrastructure is developing alongside the financial layer. Pharos AI brings together Pharos MCP, Docs MCP, and SkillEngine for builders, while @AnvitaFlow’s Agent Widget is now integrated into Pharos Port, giving users access to supported agent features through a chat interface. A Pharos-customised edition of the AnvitaMate desktop agent is also coming soon, with Pharos tools and skills for development and onchain workflows. 🌐 Distribution is widening too. DeBot, an AI signal trading platform with 1.5M+ users, has integrated Pharos assets, giving the ecosystem another route for users already participating in on-chain markets. Pharos’ latest developments point to a broader shift: tokenised assets are becoming collateral, liquidity is moving around them, new markets are forming on top, and agent infrastructure is creating new ways to interact with that financial activity. #Pharos #ChainWatch #RealFi #RWA #OnchainFinance #DeFi #AI

It’s #TechieTuesday, and this week’s developments show blockchain infrastructure moving closer to institutional finance, payments, and real-world asset markets: ⚙️ Zenith has opened its EVM Testnet to the public, allowing developers to deploy standard Solidity applications using familiar Ethereum tooling while transactions are coordinated and finalised through Canton. The testnet also supports atomic workflows between Canton and Zenith EVM, giving developers a way to test EVM applications alongside Canton-native infrastructure. 💵 Verona has launched verUSD, a dollar-denominated stablecoin designed for payments between AI agents and other transactions on its network. The stablecoin launched across Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, Optimism, Arbitrum, Celo, and Solana, with more than $100 million in institutional launch commitments and over $60 million in signed, committed revenue expected to flow through verUSD as payments. 🔗 Chainlink has launched CCIP 2.0 with new features including institution-operated Cross-Chain Verifiers, configurable transaction confirmation settings, and built-in compliance controls covering KYC, AML, sanctions screening, and transaction limits. The upgrade is designed to support more controlled cross-chain infrastructure for institutional and financial applications. 🏦 Goldman Sachs’ Financial Square Treasury Instruments Fund (FTIXX) is now available to qualified US participants through Lynq, a real-time settlement network powered by tZERO. The roughly $100 billion fund remains a conventional money-market fund rather than being tokenised, giving institutional digital-asset firms another way to access Treasury exposure through blockchain-based settlement infrastructure. TL;DR: Zenith is opening Canton to EVM developers, Verona is bringing stablecoins into AI-agent payments, Chainlink is adding new security and compliance controls to cross-chain infrastructure, and Goldman Sachs is connecting a traditional Treasury fund to digital-asset settlement rails. #Crypto #Tokenization #Blockchain #Stablecoins #RWA #Web3

It’s #TechieTuesday, and this week’s developments show blockchain infrastructure moving further into institutional finance, tokenized assets, and onchain markets: ₿ Circle has launched Digital Asset-Backed Borrowing for eligible Circle Mint customers, allowing institutions to deposit BTC, mint 1:1 BTC-backed cirBTC, and use it as collateral to borrow USDC through supported third-party lending markets on Arc and Ethereum. Morpho is the first supported lending protocol, giving institutions a way to access USDC liquidity without selling their BTC. 🇪🇺 The European Central Bank has launched Pontes, a wholesale settlement service connecting distributed-ledger networks to the Eurosystem’s TARGET Services. It allows eligible financial institutions to settle tokenized-asset transactions in central bank money. Pontes initially operates on business days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CET, with longer operating hours planned over time. 📈 Ondo Finance has launched an in-kind conversion route with Alpaca’s Instant Tokenization Network, allowing approved institutions to use existing shares to mint Ondo Stocks on Ethereum and BNB Chain. The tokens can also be redeemed for the underlying shares, adding a new primary-market route alongside Ondo’s existing cash-funded process. 🔮 Prediction market platform Trueo has announced its migration from Base to Ethereum mainnet, citing greater integration potential, network effects, and a better fit for its long-term product goals. Existing Base markets will remain available, while Trueo is directing new longer-dated markets toward Ethereum as the migration progresses. TL;DR: Bitcoin is becoming usable as institutional collateral for USDC borrowing, the ECB is connecting tokenized markets to central bank settlement, Ondo is creating new ways to bring existing shares onchain, and Trueo is moving its prediction market from Base to Ethereum. #Crypto #Tokenization #Blockchain #DeFi #RWA #Web3

It’s #TechieTuesday, and this week’s developments show tokenised assets moving deeper into traditional markets while DeFi continues to expand the ways those assets can be used: 🏦 Edel Finance has joined the DTCC Digital Assets Solutions Industry Working Group, contributing to the development of the DTC Tokenisation Service alongside more than 100 industry participants, including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, and NYSE. The service is expected to launch in October 2026, bringing tokenised versions of DTC-custodied securities to blockchain networks while preserving existing ownership rights and investor protections. 🔐 A DeFi exploit involving a Gnosis Safe wallet resulted in the loss of roughly $7.8 million in rsETH, according to security researchers. The incident involved a custom Uniswap V4 module and an authorisation flaw that reportedly enabled an attacker to execute arbitrary code. The case highlights the risks that third-party modules can introduce to multisig and DeFi infrastructure. 🏦 CoinEx has announced that it will cease exchange operations after nearly nine years, citing prolonged weakness in crypto trading volumes and liquidity, rising regulatory requirements, and increasing compliance and operating costs. The wind-down began September 15, with spot trading scheduled to end September 29 and withdrawals remaining open until December 22, 2026. 📈 Kraken has launched xStocks Vaults, allowing eligible clients to put tokenised versions of SPY, QQQ, and Nvidia shares to work in on-chain lending markets. The vaults use Veda infrastructure and strategies managed by Sentora, with rewards paid in the same tokenised asset deposited. TL;DR: Institutional infrastructure is preparing for tokenised securities at scale, DeFi security remains a critical concern, CoinEx is winding down its exchange business, and tokenised equities are gaining new on-chain use cases through lending and yield products. #Crypto #Tokenization #Blockchain #DeFi #RWA #Web3
