Time for a new introduction post!
My name is Isabella and I'm a trained biologist. For the past decade I have been studying the behaviour of endangered species on Indian Ocean Islands help prevent extinctions.
I post lots about bats and other animals, art, and science.
@British_Airways I had to cancel my flights on Saturday due to health issues. Was told I'd be able to rebook my flight as soon as BA verfified the "fit to fly" note from my doctor which I sent through Saturday eve. Until now no response to our calls/e-mails, leaving me...

THE LAST HURRAH
I finally decided to leave this app after a long period of mourning. It's been a blast to connect with so many of you and the bat community here is *chef's kiss*! So as a last post here I wanted to ask a favour:
Leaving here will be easier knowing we managed to come together to shout about bats into the void one last time!!! 😆 @HonkIfUrHoary @natsabin @Safari_Ari9 @theresalaverty @BattyLisa

Give a vote for @LittleLeapers_ , her 🦇 artwork is gorgeous! 🤩
I finally managed to get a bat artwork selected for exhibition (UK) and if we got together and voted for it at the People's Choice Award we could show the (art)world that bats are worth looking at!
So as my last ask, can you spare a vote here:

Votes needed 4 #bats !! We are delighted to see one of our awesome #volunteers Isabella Mandl @LittleLeapers_ is helping bats stand up and be counted with her beautiful artwork! Please vote and lots of lovely art. @_BCT_ @AusBats @batlife @alberta @MerlinsBats @adria_baucells

My incredibly talented friend has had her artwork selected as a finalist in the "Explorers Against Extinction" Sketch for Survival 2023! It’s the only #bat in this wildlife art show.
Let’s rally for bats in the art world! 🦇Vote People's Choice Award: woobox.com/58msq5
Hmmm I'm thinking this is it for me here on Twitter.... I'm sorry about losing my lovely connections here but I've lost the joy of using this app.... Will think about an alternative.

Some of our 57 #alumni representing 14 countries at @ICCB2023 - the majority of them gave talks about their wonderful conservation work.

This has to be one of the cutest things I've seen in a long time. A puss moth caterpillar wrapped up in the leaves of my curly willow tree
Taken this morning right outside my front door, so far I've found 4 in the tree but I'm sure there are more.
