The Labour Council Cabinet recently passed Article 4 in regards to HMOs, which restricts the creation of HMOs in certain areas, but not the entire city - so whilst some areas of Liverpool will be somewhat protected from new HMOs popping up, the rest will become the hot spot until it is extended.
That isn't right to us, so sign our petition and tell this council we won't stand for it ππ» liverlibdems.org.uk/hmo

Meet Norma, a local resident in Church Ward.
Norma is a fabulous lady who has had some local issues that I was able to support her and her family with, leading to a lovely friendship. I try my best to catch up with Norma, and many residents, in this way as much as I can.

Today I visited Old Swan Amateur Boxing Club a community boxing gym run by local people, for local young people.
What I saw was brilliant. Young people getting discipline, structure and confidence through boxing and fitness. And for under-18s, classes are free. That is so important.
We talk a lot about keeping young people safe, and it's places like this actually do it before any problems start. Rather than trying to fix it after it's happened.
If I lead this city, Iβll invest in community spaces like this. I want to reopen community centres, support local gyms and bring boxing and sport back into the lives of our children. A proper Scouse approach with old school values, hard work, and somewhere to belong.
We have a real ketamine problem on our streets. And the answer is giving young people somewhere better to be, giving them purpose, opportunity and to feel like they have a future.
Access to health, fitness and sport shouldnβt depend on what a family can afford. Every young person in Liverpool deserves that opportunity.
Over the next seven months Iβll be visiting gyms and community organisations across the city... listening, learning and building the partnerships we need to tackle health inequality and create real opportunities for our young people.
Our youth deserve the best. Together, letβs build a healthier, safer and stronger Liverpool. πͺ

Liverpool politicians get free parking while residents lose it after 6 PM. A Lib Dem council would scrap politician perks and restore resident parking. Citizens first, not politicians. #Liverpool #LocalPolitics #Parking

"We are too timid - and we have been too timid as a party - but I think that changes today"
The Lib Dem leader on Liverpool City Council @CarlCashman encapsulates the mood of a party wanting to be much more bold and radical when getting its message to voters:

Nearly 53,000 people, but only one small station...
I spent the hour before kick off outside the Hill Dickinson asking Evertonians a simple question: how do you actually get to and from the match?
These are some of their answers, unfiltered, highlighting the queues at Sandhills after full time, the congestion, the walk back in the dark. None of it is a surprise to anyone who goes, but it's important to them as they're the ones affected by poor planning!

Springwood Liberal Democrat Campaigner, James Thornhill, has been working with local resident, Eddie, to find a solution to the rot that has taken hold of a chapel in Springwood Cemetry.
What was once a fabulous building within a space filled with so much respect and reflection, has been left to nature - but it could be brought into community use for those paying respects to their passed loved ones.
What do you think could happen with the chapel?
