I'm really shaken by this tragic news. Such a great loss, such a great man.
It is with deep sadness that we share the following statement about our much-loved friend and colleague, Adam Brace

ALT Photograph of Adam Brace at Soho Theatre. A white man in his early 40s, with grey hair, a dark brown beard and brown glasses. He is smiling and stood in a corridor wearing a black coat and a white shirt. The text beside it is Soho Theatre and United Agents statement and can be found on the Soho Theatre website through the link in the Tweet.
"£849 million[for]a single month of Eat Out to Help Out...which contributed to the rise in Covid, the next lockdown & the wipeout of the panto season...
one month of EOtoHO was almost equivalent to two whole years of arts funding in the current round."

Growing up, my Muslim family never celebrated Christmas. This year I am not going home, because pandemic, so my roommates are teaching me how to have my first proper Christmas.
I am approaching this with anthropological precision.
Here are a few observations.

They’ve had 3 hours delay, the slides don’t fit the screen and you can’t even read the text it’s so small.
Shame that stage managers aren’t viable? We’d have sorted that right out, and gone up on time 😔
This is not money from a benevolent donor who needed thanking. Public money - tax that arts organisations, theatre makers and artists pay. To make this a condition of funding is ridiculous.
Been made redundant again from an industry I have given too much of myself to over the years. As Michelle Obama puts it, it’s time for a SWERVE. What next? Certainly not theatre & not London. But first a puppy - looking for a goldendoodle, hook me up with quality breeders y’all. – at Hammersmith, London

The Theatre Industry is dying, and it’s dying now.
Not everyone likes theatre, but if you watch Film/TV this is going to affect you, because much of what & who you watch had their origins in theatre, whether it’s Fleabag or the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games [THREAD]
