Remember when I told y'all to pick up Chig Okonkwo off waivers? Well, I'm taking it one step further. He's officially on my Week 8 must-start list. And here's why...
Over his last two games, he's put up double-digit fantasy outings, (10 and 13.9), 129 receiving yards, and an 84.6% catch rate.
Washington just lost one of its biggest offensive weapons, and somebody is going to have to absorb those opportunities. In Week 6, Okonkwo led Washington in receptions and receiving yards, and some of the advanced stats over the last 2 games are pretty exciting:
- 72.6% route participation
- 2.11 yards per route run
- 24% and 21% target shares
Okonkwo ran 43 routes in Week 6, the most of any Washington player that game. He also ran a route on approximately 86% of Jayden Daniels' dropbacks. He lined up at a WR spot for 30 snaps against San Francisco. He's going to continue to put up numbers.
I told y'all to pick him up.
Now I'm telling you to fire him up in Week 8. Lets rock.
