One thing I’ve learned in 30 years, is random people will be more supportive and motivating and praise your successes than people you’ve known your whole life. I never really understood why that is? Is it because they know you? And if you’re doing worse than them it makes them feel better? Always thought it was a crazy logic to be a hater for no reason, and even if there is a reason, what’s that say about your character?
