Unemployment affects graduates from rural areas differently from those ekasi or townships. Why because a person from a township can accept any type of job while still waiting for employment in the field that they studied. The salary is not a deciding factor for them as long as they can get a foot in the door. However someone from the rural areas can only accept a well paying job because they need to be able to afford accommodation, new furniture and the general cost of running a household alone. They can’t just accept an entry level job because they have nowhere to live and no furniture or lift clubs to help them get to work in the morning while they are still building their career.
