Writing this retrospective on In Utero for @theskinnymag was a genuine dream come true. Nirvana’s music has had a profound impact on my life, and writing about them has always been a career goal of mine. A few words on the greatest rock record ever:

What a massive loss to Scotland's cultural landscape this is. The Skinny let me (and countless other writers and journalists) cut my teeth, and gave me the opportunity to cover some of my all-time favourite artists. It'll be sorely missed.
After 20 years of independent cultural journalism and with a very heavy heart, September’s edition of The Skinny is our final issue 💔

Always good to find myself back in the pages of Scotland’s greatest music mag @theskinnymag. This time reviewing Alex G at the Barrowlands - rant against TikTok brainrot ruining live music included

With TRNSMT right around the corner thought it’d be a good chance to reshare this piece I wrote last year for @theskinnymag, looking back at T in the Park, and examining the void it left behind…

Was fortunate enough to see Brian Wilson live in Glasgow in 2016 at the Royal Concert Hall, still to this day the best gig I’ve ever been to. He sat down in front of the piano and transported the entire venue back in time to the 60s, I’ve never seen anything like it since. RIP
It’s very good to be back in the pages of Scotland’s finest cultural magazine. Was lucky enough to see @samfendermusic battle through a nasty flu to put on a cracker of a show at the Hydro in Glasgow last night. Give it a read ⬇️
Sam Fender (@samfendermusic) battled through the flu to deliver a storming set at @OVOHydro – here's our review, by @Logan24W [Get well soon, Sam!]

Realised today it’s been a year since I started freelancing as a journalist. It’s not the easiest gig, but in that time I’ve waved off the pandas, written a feature on my favourite band, done live election coverage on the radio, and went to a few free gigs. Not bad for a start.
The man on the ground for @kingdomfm and @originalfm today at the SNP’s event marking 10 years since the Independence Referendum. Coverage to follow on our hourly news bulletins.
Took some time off the ole radio airwaves to go and visit a place both wonderful and strange…
Can confirm the cherry pie and coffee in Twin Peaks is indeed damn fine!
Up in the Granite City on a very sunny day, and I’ll be on the bulletins for @originalfm from 12 until 7, bringing you all the latest reaction to the election results from across the north east and beyond!

Great to be back in the hallowed pages of @theskinnymag with another live review. Got to check out @xdannyxbrownx's show in Glasgow on Tuesday night, and what a show it was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
