"Tomorrow’s Capabilities Today" is the final panel of the 2026 @LondonDefConf Washington Forum. As AI, autonomy, space, cyber, and advanced manufacturing reshape warfare, how can allies develop and procure tomorrow’s capabilities faster than adversaries? #LDCWashingtonForum

Less than a month until the 2026 @LondonDefConf Washington Forum on Sept 23! Panel II: “Deterring Adversaries” will examine how the US and its allies can apply lessons to strengthen deterrence as China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea advance their military capabilities. Stay tuned for more panel and speaker announcements. #LDCWashingtonForum

What will future wars look like, and what will it take to win them? The character of warfare is evolving at an unprecedented pace. As we’ve seen in current conflicts, next-generation capabilities are becoming increasingly decisive in warfighting. The development of emerging technologies such as AI, space, quantum and biotechnology will only accelerate the pace at which the battlefield evolves. On 23 September, the London Defence Conference returns to Washington, DC for its flagship US event, the LDC Washington Forum, held in partnership with the Center for the Study of the Presidency & Congress (CSPC), under this year’s theme: “Winning Future Wars.” Over the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing our panels for the event, as well as the partners who will be hosting sessions throughout the day. If you’re interested in becoming part of our sponsorship group for the LDC Washington Forum, please get in touch with our colleague Georgie Krone, Head of Partnerships, at [email protected]. We look forward to welcoming you to Washington for an important discussion on the future of defence and security. @LondonDefConf @CSPC_DC

I greatly enjoyed appearing on the ‘Getting Ready: Lessons from History’ panel at the @LondonDefConf in April, alongside Margaret MacMillan and @DrRadchenko , chaired by John Bew. A fascinating discussion on history, strategy, and the challenges facing the West in an increasingly unstable world. youtu.be/rxfjwLwcDJw?si=htPq…
