Science has proven the benefit of gamekeepers but Wild Justice ignores all the evidence. The result is your tax money being wasted on spurious legal challenges and Natural England denying pest control licences, threatening the country's food supply. Is that not scandalous?

Sadly rather than funding such projects with this money, Defra was forced to spend £120,000 in legal fees and human resource costs instead, fighting a case against a company called @WildJustice_org , a case that the judge summarily threw out.

Moorland managers do not burn peat, we burn heather. This video shows that the peat is unaffected and mosses remain soaking wet. Restoration burning promotes growth of sphagnum mosses and carbon storage @DefraGovUK @NaturalEngland

Corbyn making a statement that he will do ''everything necessary'' to stop a no-deal Brexit undermines the Prime Minister's negotiation position. This is an act of extraordinary treachery in the midst of a negotiation. It makes a no deal Brexit more not less likely imo. #LIBERTY

Thanks for bringing this to our attention @ChrisGPackham. We’d be keen to run a piece on it but despite our best efforts we can’t find any evidence that anybody from the UK has gone to Iceland to shoot puffins. Could you drop us a line with some concrete details about it? Cheers

You couldn’t make it up . . . and you don’t have to . Puffin hunting . Yep , UK shooters travel to Iceland and the Faroes to kill big ‘bags’ of Puffins . . . Any of your members at it @BASCnews @Gameandwildlife ? I wonder if @ShootingTimes has a view ? telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/07…

Puffins being hunted and brought back to the UK despite Government efforts to save the species

Puffins are being hunted 100 at a time by trophy collectors who are allowed to bring the carcasses back to the UK, despite the government’s efforts to save the species.

A very positive and productive @lammashow great attendance and support for what will be a growing British Show of the future. A certain rising interest in no-till and strip-till machines.

Deeping District Agricultural Association will be holding their annual Ploughing Match on Saturday, 27th October at Langtoft Fen, Lincolnshire. For anyone interested in watching conventional and vintage tractors at work or heavy horses, it would be a great day out.
