Remix Game of the Day #7 today's @RemixGG_ pick is Sketch Highway by @LookHemu the visuals are easily the strongest part of this one it's got this unusual hand-drawn style that I absolutely love, packed with little details sometimes I catch myself looking at the scenery instead of the road and the pencil drawing the level in the distance as u drive toward it? that's the moment that sold me on the game such a simple, memorable idea we need more of these little creative hooks on Remix visual, mechanical, musical, whatever the kind of thing that makes u stop, remember a game, and want to show it to someone else as for gameplay, nothing overly complicated, and that's a good thing here the controls feel great, with no awkward swiping I really can't stand swipe controls in games like this there's nitro for those risky bursts of speed and last-second escapes from obstacles easy to understand, satisfying to play, and challenging enough to keep u coming back I also love the short levels they don't overstay their welcome, and each change of scenery gives u something new to look at now, the one area I'd seriously rework is the audio especially the background music I can't know what made it, but it sounds like it came from an AI that isn't really built for music generation there's a difference between coming up with a melody and producing a track with convincing instruments and a coherent sound right now the music feels disjointed and clashes with how polished the visuals are I'd replace it and give the sound design another pass the game also has multiplayer and co-op, which I'm really curious about unfortunately, without proper public lobbies on Remix, I haven't been able to test either properly yet I'm looking forward to that platform update, and knowing how the team works, I'm optimistic we won't be waiting forever Sketch Highway is definitely one of the first games I'll revisit when it arrives excellent work overall absolutely worth checking out game link in the first reply as always
