What does pseudouridine (ψ) actually do to protein production? It’s been studied for years — but its impact on translation has remained surprisingly unclear.
We were excited to tackle this directly in our latest NAR paper: tinyurl.com/psitranslation

Excited to share this work exploring the profile of senolytic CAR T cells in physiological aging. Great collaboration with Inés Fernández-Maestre, that started @MSKCC and bore fruit @amor_lab @CSHL

Very saddened to hear of Judy’s passing. I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Judy during my PhD. Judy was nothing short of an extraordinary scientist that shaped the field of aging & senescence to be what it is today. A true pioneer and champion in science.

A reminder that the abundance of 'house keeping' proteins varies significantly across cells and tissues.
GAPDH (glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate
dehydrogenase) is often slandered a 'house keeping' protein, and its abundance varies significantly across human tissues.
Writing a manuscript (or two 😉) from pure scratch after a few years… needless to say I’ve taken quite a few walks around the lab and campus to ummm… think (procrastinate).
Anyways, stay tuned 📊📈💻

This study evolved from a simple question: what defines the mutagenic potential of a new L1 copy in vivo?

Grad student @keahi_dani studies the role of DNA repair in preventing medulloblastoma, the most common pediatric brain cancer. Her focus is on how developing brain cells are vulnerable to DNA damage and the pathways that protect them from becoming cancerous. #AAPIHeritageMonth
