Coronado/San Diego peeps: I know this is a long shot as it's happened months ago, but I just came across this photo.
My relative past away in this accident and we're still looking for some answers. If anyone knows anything or seen what happened, please let me know 🤞🤞

I’m not even going to hold y’all. Jaden Powers is flopping badly. Since BN didn’t take my hardcover, it only sold 41 copies its first week. I’ve never ever seen sales this low for any of my books. & now I’m scared that I won’t get the opportunity to publish or be agented again.

I was watching him on live just a couple of days ago. He did a little series called “planting everyday until this genocide is over”. He was planting different herbs & things in buckets and bottles. Planting was a form of resistance for him. May God have mercy upon you, Medo.
Friends of Palestinian content creator Medo (Mohammad) Halimy reported on social media that the 19-year-old has succumbed to his wounds after an Israeli airstrike on Gaza left him in a coma.
Halimy made videos documenting his daily life during the genocide and was determined to keep planting everyday as part of his resistance against the occupation. He amassed over 200K followers across Instagram and TikTok.
His last Instagram post, uploaded just two days ago, was a video showing his tent life in Gaza.
In an interview with Fault Magazine in June, Halimy expressed his happiness over the support his videos received, “the most joy I get now is from the comments on my videos and the support from people worldwide. Seeing people recognize the truth and view the situation from an unbiased perspective is very uplifting.”
“After this genocide is over, I will pursue my life dreams, no matter how long it takes—even if it takes 50 years. I aim to achieve so much that everyone will remember my name.”

Please share, I can’t sleep from the stress of not having enough to secure this final month. There is no way we can get rid or store everything in six days. We’ve been avoiding other bills to try and come up with enough and now our phones have been shut off. We need $1200.
Please keep boosting or support through one of the other methods. We only have seven days to come up with the other half of September’s rent and we desperately need this final month to pack. share.lily.la/housing

This is fucking heartbreaking. Please keep giving to @gazafunds and as you give, read their stories, write down their names, remember these are people just like you and me. We must never forget. We must keep doing everything in our power to demand an arms embargo and ceasefire.
🚨This will be the last post we share here.
We believe there is no point in telling our human stories anymore; everyone has grown accustomed to seeing us killed. It's no longer worth the risk to send our voice out to a world that is content with mere solidarity. Even many of our human stories no longer interest people (even our voice is being ignored).
It's time to stop waiting for a savior and to help ourselves survive.
Please try to keep us in your prayers.
I composed a Goodreads list featuring MG middle grade mythology by BIPOC authors! It was very much needed when I couldn't find a list of some of these books anywhere.
