Interesting that the Met were more interested in reminding me of my confidentiality obligations regarding the Royal Family than informing the relevant Police authorities in relation to potential child sex crimes committed by the father of a future member of the Royal Family.
Latest on the allegations about Meghan’s father Thomas Markle. And questions for @metpoliceuk about why it didn’t tell anyone else in the US or Mexico about the serious allegations? @itvnews has seen the letter which police received in 2019 and then passed to Meghan itv.com/news/2026-10-24/itv-…

Being a big fan of the BBC series Ghosts, I went to the cinema this afternoon to see the movie version... and it was such an enjoyable experience. The audience laughed all the way through it, which was infectious, so I had many hearty laughs myself. Such a positive feel-good film. Highly recommended. So if you are umming & ahhing about going, do go. You'll enjoy it!

🤣 And I hate horror movies.
This is f*cking hilarious, and the ending is a masterpiece. The cops counted 5 suspects. You'll spot the 6th in the last few seconds.

Someone out there needs to see this today. 🤗
This is how you do NEIGHBORS!! A couple notices a middle schooler waiting for the bus at the edge of their driveway every morning. They put out a bench and make it his official bus stop. The doorbell cam catches him jumping when he sees it, then holding up a handwritten thank you note. Then they build him a little outdoor library. Everybody talks about how kids today have no manners. That kid wrote a thank you note by hand and held it up to the camera. Somebody raised him right. And the neighbors could've just been annoyed a kid was standing on their property every day. They decided to make his mornings better. I'm raising two boys and this is the stuff I want them to see. Notice people. Do something small. And when someone does something for you, say thank you. It takes a village, or is that a thing of the past?

"One of these homes became Luke Skywalker's house in Star Wars..." Tunisia's iconic location doubled as the Lars' Tatooine homestead in Star Wars: A New Hope and Attack of the Clones.
In Matmata, Tunisia, people have lived in underground homes for hundreds of years, with rooms carved into deep pits and connected by tunnels.

It was an honour to meet and talk with Prince Albert Jacob, who at 101 years old is one of the few surviving Caribbean veterans to have served in WWII, at a ceremony onboard HMS Belfast organised by the Jamaican ex Soldiers Association. Prince joined the RAF in 1943, aged 17. In 1953 he got married to Mary (pic), who went on to be a deputy headteacher whilst he worked for the post office.

I’m still shocked by the Arday frenzy this summer. Right across the spectrum — from the Times, Unherd, Telegraph, Mail to the Guardian, Novara, Private Eye… based on tenuous assumptions. Left right politics does not explain it. Something deeper, more atavistic and barbaric
The final irony. Hundreds of articles ABOUT Jason Arday - fact-free, poor data analysis, often copying other people's work/ A couple of articles BY Jason Arday - a few corrections, and still supported by academic publishers and peer review. Just tragic bias by our media

If you have HBO Max I absolutely recommend that you watch Youth. It is so good. Down to earth, honest British humour that's very relatable across generations. Great acting and I like the literary world backdrop too. Very good series 👏🏿
In Sharon Horgan’s brilliant new HBO series, Youth, she explores the sometimes turbulent experience of looking for love in your fifties. Paul Nolan hears from the acclaimed writer and actor, as well as her co-stars Sharlene Whyte and Aran Murphy: hotpress.com/culture/sharon-…

In 1966, the Aberfan disaster killed 116 children and 28 adults. RIP, all. Despite warnings from residents and councils that the tips were unstable, the National Coal Board continued tipping coal waste. No directors or employees were ever prosecuted for Aberfan. A must-watch. 👇🏾

What a classic! Rise was famously sampled by Notorious BIG in his hit Hypnotize. Amazing to think that Herb Alpert is still the only artist in America to hit No.1 with an instrumental and (thanks to Burt Bacharach's This Guy's in Love with You) a vocal track.
Top of the US charts today in 1979: Herb Alpert’s “Rise” — famously recorded in one take. Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental. As Miles Davis said: “You hear three notes and you know it’s Herb Alpert.”
