I've been gone for a while, life needed some sorting and I was also preoccupied with stuff like this, I trained a neural network to detect surface level defects, this is a janky proof of concept with brute forced sliding window detection to place the rectangles, but it works
Really happy that I was able to pull this off, I have 0 coding abilities, coding was done with chatgpt and Claude 3.5. it's just amazing what can be achieved with AI nowadays, project was based on this study mdpi.com/1424-8220/23/17/760โฆ
