dear people with an aversion to doing free work: I PROMISE you that this belief is actively making your life worse and slowing down your career tremendously and anyone in your life who validates this belief is not a good person to take advice from
If you want to work for your favorite entrepreneur, you need to show two things: 1. You want the job 2. You can do the job The best way to SHOW that is to do the work upfront. Yes, that sometimes means working for free. *gasp* Create a pitch deck. Draft a mockup. Write a memo. Pretend you already have the job before you have the job. A question I love to ask myself: "How can I reduce the friction it takes for the other person to say yes?" ~~ Ps. This is an adapted excerpt from my new book 'Work With The Best' - it's my cookbook for creating career opportunities. You can grab your copy here: link.amazon/B0fcIZgqe Enjoy :)

I was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work with @APompliano early in my marketing career He's a clear, pragmatic thinker and excellent writer The first book of this series was great Looking forward to the launch of #2 Highly recommend 👇
Dear followers, I need your help. This Tuesday I am launching my second book, How To Live An Extraordinary Life Volume 2. Usually a book launch has tons of support from big publishers, expensive marketing campaigns, mainstream media interviews, and thousands of shelves in bookstores across the country. I’m doing this launch independently because I believe the power of community trumps any other approach. So here is my big ask: If I have ever provided you any value, please consider buying a book. If I helped you make money, consider grabbing a copy. If I gave you a new idea to think about, buy a book. And if you were ever entertained by the podcast, my tweets, or this letter, order a few copies and then tell your friends to do the same. Order here: amazon.com/How-Live-Extraord… We are hosting a book launch event on Thursday night at City Winery in Manhattan. My wife, @polinapompliano, will be interviewing me on stage. I am terrified of what insane questions she will ask me or what stories she will make me recount, but there is no going back now that I have committed to the event. It will be unlike any event we have done before. You can get a ticket to Thursday’s event here: tickets.citywinery.com/event… I sent an early copy to a few friends and they seemed to like it. - @theRealKiyosaki, Author of NYT bestseller “Rich Dad Poor Dad” said: “It’s filled with wisdom all of us need…a must-read for every parent to give their child.” - @Scaramucci, financier and former White House Communications Director, said: “fifty ideas that can change your life, written by one of the sharpest minds in finance and one of the best fathers I know.” I spent a year writing about 50 life-changing ideas that had a significant impact on me. These lessons span across my personal, professional, and financial life, including: - The two types of men in the morning - Why it is better to be busy than bored - How to be the 60% spouse - What the Production Principle is - How I define success now - The importance of “F**k you focus” - Why more people die on the way down from Mount Everest - Why you must avoid Chauffeur Knowledge - What to learn when dissent is outlawed - The difference between ordinary and extraordinary - How the devil doesn’t tempt you with spinach I am not measuring success of this book by the number of books we sell. I want the ideas to speak for themselves. The true test of a book’s quality is whether it can spread through word of mouth with no marketing gimmicks. I don’t care about book club stickers or bestseller lists. I just want each of you to say, “This brought me immense value.” Order here: amazon.com/How-Live-Extraord… Thank you in advance for the support. It means a lot to me. I look forward to continuing to learn alongside you in the coming years.

If you are the average of the 5 people you compare yourself to then why wouldn’t you want your friends/peers to be as successful as possible Don’t be a gatekeeper Win & help win

It's finally here: my new book 'Work With The Best' is AVAILABLE NOW (!!) I'm 20 years old. Single. I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I run a $1M/year creator business. I spent the last 5 years apprenticing under the top online entrepreneurs (Tyler Denk, Noah Kagan, Alex Hormozi, Shelby Sapp). And that's allowed me to build the life and business of my dreams at an early age. A hill I'm willing to die on: one of the fastest ways to get the life you want is to help those who are currently living it. I've learned soooo much working behind the scenes that I'm now applying to my own business. If you've wondered how to write a cold email, get on powerful people's radar, build an insane network... you'll love this book. It's my 'cookbook for creating opportunities'. Enjoy! link.amazon/B0fcIZgqe ~~ How am I feeling? Thanks for asking. Nervous. And surprisingly, calm. (Is that even possible?) Nervous because I’ve poured my absolute heart and soul into this book and launch. It’s the culmination of the last half decade of my life. All the lessons I learned working behind the scenes with entrepreneurs I admire, finding ways to stand out and create opportunities. Calm because I’ve given this everything I have. No matter what happens with the rest of this launch, I can confidently look myself in the mirror and say, “I did my best.” It’s a weird feeling. This book will likely be my last book for a while. It’s ending my chapter of “apprenticing under entrepreneurs.” I wanted to clarify and codify all the principles, tricks, and tactics to go from “on the outside” to on the inside. The next season of my life will be very different. I’m building my own empire. I don’t know exactly what will happen next. But I’m damn glad for all the love and support y’all have shown me. Let’s keep going. ✊🏼 -Jay

Is there any reason not to go to South Florida for the winter? Biz is fully remote, and going well. Other option is just going back to NYC. Thoughts?

how to completely change your life in 50 hours (FREE) 1) find 7 interesting people with 800 - 2,000 followers 2) ask if you can interview them for a new podcast (small accounts will say yes 99% of the time) 3) after each interview, ask them to refer you to 1-2 of their most interesting friends specifically say these exact words: "who are 1-2 interesting people you know who would HAVE FUN being interviewed" if you do a good job as a podcast host (research the guest), they will happily intro you to several people that will blow your mind 4) interview 7 of those people 5) repeat until you don't recognize your life I went from ZERO online presence to interviewing A-List VCs, billion dollar founders, and huge creators at LUDACRIS speed by following this exact playbook this playbook 1,000% still works podcast interviews have turbo catapulted career trajectories for people like: @shamusmadan @andrehaykaljr @heydannymiranda and this is exactly how I interviewed people like: @thedankoe @stephsmithio @sweatystartup @polinapompliano @dickiebush @girdley @wes_kao @Nicolascole77 @howardlindzon @sotulana @nickgraynews @jonwu_ @EricJorgenson this is how I got a full-time job with @APompliano within 6 months of graduating college this is how I got a full-time job at @BitcoinMagazine this is how I was referred dozens of epic clients within weeks of starting my agencies the playbook is so so so simple yet most people won't do it you don't need intro music you don't need show artwork you don't need to spend ANY MONEY ON ANYTHING use your webcam and phone mic if you are desperate I promise you this will change your life faster than you believe is possible

I am once again reminding you that starting an interview podcast is both extremely accessible and an extremely high ROI use of your time
Mr. Wonderful on The Rollup. Short, sweet, and a damn good time with Kevin. I'm so ungodly bullish on crypto at this spot & setup.

Online courses radicalize people to believe in themselves, their economic potential, and their ability to improve their lives Higher ed radicalizes people to hate fkn everything
All education businesses will inherently have successful and unsuccessful students. Do we call Harvard a scam because some students flunk and drop out?

I think vibe coding has finally actually generated an ROI for me Earlier in the year I built dozens of completely useless micro-saas and internal tools miles away from the constraint in my business But now I have some freelance clients where I'm shipping extraordinarly useful tools at a ludacris pace bc I have reusable design patterns for basically any rando edge case seared into my memory feels good 🥲

make your offer easier to say yes to sell defined structure in an area where your buyer has failed to create any governing constraints sell simplification in a domain where your buyer is overcomplicating everything position your offer such that it immediately and unambiguously clicks as a valid solution to a well-defined problem tied to their pre-existing desire sell belief in their ability to obtain the desired outcome (what @AlexHormozi would call perceived likelihood of achievement) sell a forcing function to make a commitment where people are stuck being one-foot in, one-foot out sell "trust me bro" sell follow the yellow brick road" and things will work out for you sell "I considered all the options and made the hard decisions for you" "if you're in the information business, pivot to the accountability business" (h/t @dickiebush) this is how you actually do that everyone is fking overwhelmed nobody sits still nobody spends any time on intentional, slow, clear executive reasoning buyers are magnetized to people and products that reduce the entropy in their life & business make your offer easier to say yes to

this is working for me really well right now: → strictly under 200 mgs of caffeine → strictly under 10mgs of nicotine → no nicotine before 1pm → cut off caffeine as early as possible I find this the max dosing to prevent any noticeable downside from either substance (161 bodyweight)
