no broadcast today so it feels like this is an appropriate moment to say that tv ratings are one of the few metrics where fan power doesn’t really make a difference by the way. if you don’t believe me, some of the biggest traffic stars right now had dramas airing at the same time as the lament of autumn and look how that turned out
and that’s also why solo fans from either side can’t try to take all the credit for the drama’s success either
tv audiences are mostly made up of casual viewers, older people, and families tuning in to watch a good drama with a captivating couple who have crazy chemistry and a story that actually resonates with them since it’s about their own history and people
i think that’s something to be happy about because it shows how successful the drama is with viewers who probably don’t even know who these actors are, but still tuned in simply because it’s a really good drama
bad dramas can still perform well in online metrics through sheer fandom and commercial power if the right actors’ names are attached, but that doesn’t work the same way when it comes to tv ratings
with that being said it’s easy to claim that one of the leads had nothing to do with the drama’s success, but if the drama had failed crashed and burned, would you still give your favorite lead all the credit for its failure !? or would you suddenly and conveniently blame the other lead for it instead !? right…
so in this house, and in mangotv’s too since this drama has two leads… not one, but two, for good and bad, we give dongdongxixi equal credit and celebrate the drama’s achievements, knowing it did well because it’s a high-quality drama with the perfect cast for yuchangxuan and yepingjun
extreme solo fans might be loud but that doesn’t make what they say any truer 🙂
two more the lament of autumn days to go…

I rarely see Cheng Li get angry. The way he felt frustrated that Sisi was feeling very cold (possibly even feverish) and no one helped her immediately, made him tell the staff to let her rest first ☹️😭🐺🐭🤏🏻

Nana speaks up about her relationship with TOP
“Have I done something so terribly wrong?Have you suffered any harm because of me? Have I caused any moral or social controversy?
Let me make this perfectly clear: my relationship, and my decision to acknowledge it, concern my private life and my own life. I do not believe these are things I should have to apologize for.”

Let's pair up for another drama cici and cheng lei!!!
xuruohan and chenglei’s the lament of autumn, the 2026 cvb and kuyun ratings champion, continues to break records, surpassing the 0.8% mark and achieving its highest kuyun real-time ratings yet, its highest cvb daily ratings yet, breaking the record for the highest overall average viewership rating on kuyun, and holding the number one spot in prime-time satellite tv ratings for 19 consecutive days !! 😅🥳
kuyun 2026 champion:
* real-time peak: already holding the record for the highest real-time peak of the year, the drama keeps breaking its own ratings record !! today, it reached an impressive 0.8658% !!!!!!!!!!!!! 🥳 🍾 becoming the first and only drama in 2026 to even break the 0.8% mark, and it did so by a large margin, not just once, but twice !! with both episodes (37-38) that aired today breaking the 0.8% mark !!!! 🍾🍾
for reference, the drama peaked at 0.7959% yesterday, which was already massive and far ahead of any other record this year ☺️ and reaching 0.7% was already extremely impressive, as only the inner eye and the lament of autumn managed to do it in 2026. now, they’ve gone even crazier by breaking the 0.8% mark, and by such a huge margin too 😭
* daily average: the drama is also the 2026 kuyun ratings champion, holding the record for the highest daily average rating among hunantv / mangotv dramas this year and becoming the only drama to even break the 0.7% mark. today, it achieved its highest daily average yet, breaking its own record once again and reaching 0.7489% !! !! 🥳🍾
* viewership average: but it doesn’t end here 😅 the drama also broke the record for the highest overall average viewership rating on kuyun, which previously stood at 0.5520%, by reaching 0.5630% !! !! 🥳🍾 this means the lament of autumn ranks #1 across every single ratings metric on kuyun! breaking every single record, and it’s the same with cvb !!
cvb 2026 champion:
* daily average: hunantv is also celebrating a new cvb high for the drama !!!! in case you missed it, the lament of autumn is already the 2026 cvb ratings champion, holding the record for the highest cvb daily average rating of 2026, previously recorded at 0.516%, which had already made the drama the only one to break the 0.5% mark this year !!
now, it has already surpassed this mark three times and reached a new high of 0.553% on november 4th !!!!!! 🥳🥳
* viewership average: the drama also holds the record for the highest overall average viewership rating, which only keeps increasing and has now reached 0.422% - the only drama to break the 0.4% mark this year !!
long story very short, they’re number one in everything they could possibly be, and by a large margin, and with insane and very very rare ratings !!!! and now that they’ve broken everyone else’s records, the only records left for them to break are their own ☺️
congrats congrats xuruohan and chenglei may you enjoy the drama’s success to the fullest 🥳🥳
