Last week we completed a trial deployment exercise of the demountable defences on Waveney Road. In the event of a tidal surge these defences will be deployed to provide some protection from the risk of flooding in key locations in Lowestoft.

The second stage of this week's trial deployment of demountable defences will take place today with demountable defences around the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club. The trial deployment will run from 9am until completion in the early afternoon.
