My conclussion from the recent interactions between Chinese twitter and European twitter is that the Chinese are simply more educated and mature than westerners
People in the west seem to be profoundly infantilized.

I think what makes these fake Apple Pay scam/prank situations so emotionally volatile is that they combine several nightmare scenarios for the victim into one attack.
For starters, you're getting robbed in public. This is embarrassing, especially for a man.
Second, you're on camera unexpectedly for a large audience. This should be illegal. It's not, but it should be.
Third, you're being played for a fool because you don't really know how the technology of Apple Pay / contactless payments works, and someone is exploiting you over it.
So we end up with a scenario where some random guy--in this case, a middle-aged man stocking the frozen pizzas--is getting robbed, humiliated, and made to look foolish by what is likely a teenage mulatto who's exploiting a type of "I'm not touching you" loophole in the social contract, where the pizza guy would go to jail for a long time if he punched the scammer because ultimately the prankster (a) hasn't stolen anything, and (b) hasn't laid a finger on the victim.
It creates a real 'naked in front of the whole class' simulation where over 7 billion people will have permanent access to an episode of "This is what the pizza guy would look like if someone were robbing him using a technology he's too old to understand. See, look how mad he is over the IDEA of losing $10! Look how stupid he is! They didn't even take any money!"
This is a worst-case scenario for the victim. Most people are not designed for this. Complete public humiliation, absolute demoralization, no rightful recourse in the eyes of the law, no way to take back what has been stolen from you because no money was actually taken; only your dignity and sense of self-worth.
This is what happens to actual Americans in 2026 who still try to live by following the rules, working hard, and sticking to the script. They get publicly humiliated by 90 IQ mystery meat ethnics exploiting them for content to earn shitcoins with which to gamble on prediction websites.

The governor of New York openly says she fought for Tisch to keep her job because she's a "Jewish woman" from a "successful family," but Black people are the ones accused of being DEI hires who are undeserving of our jobs.
Gov. Kathy Hochul said it was “important” Jessica Tisch remained NYPD commissioner, even discussing it with Mamdani before she endorsed him.
“She knows her role is important,” Hochul told our @jmart. “He knows her role is important.”

The idea that Flavio Bolsonaro represents white Brazilians is a myth. The whitest city in Brazil is Porto Alegre, which Lula won in the second round by commanding margins.
Bolsonaro's voter base is composed of mentally ill Evangelical mulattos (Flavio himself is an Evangelical freak) who believe Benjamin Netanyahu is their god and want take sledgehammers to Catholic churches.

I have been considering a general vibe shift I associate with the partisanism of the american regime at any given era— democrats impose a “sanitation” aesthetic, the apple store, corporate memphis etc. republicans do “slop” / vulgarity, ai art renders of impossible cheeseburgers, bimbos talking about jesus, etc. Democrats lack the sort of surrealism that comes out of slop, it’s about “adulting” & “professionalism”

Guy Debord argued that modern life was increasingly being replaced by representations of itself. In 1994, he died by suicide. David Foster Wallace proposed sincerity as an escape from recursive irony. In 2008, he died by suicide. Mark Fisher wrote about the ghosts of futures that never arrived. In 2017, he died by suicide.
Now it is our turn to solve postmodernism.

Muskism is insane because it embraces Progressive Era American white "supremacist" interests (eugenics, IQ, malthusianism, imperialism) but the race supremacists in question are all mixed race, Jewish, Indian or race traitors. This new class of freaks feel entitled to rule over white people based on their successful deployment of some parasitical business scam or because they beat everyone to setting up a toll booth like Paypal.

for pretty obvious reasons this is the thing that maximally hits my boomer resentment rage button. they lived in a world where you could take this journey and just fucked around coasting off the hospitality of poor people and looking for drugs.

The coastal US is pioneering novel “nowheres,” abysmal cultural parking lots where mutual understanding between any two people is minimized as much as possible. One can feel cognitively damaged after spending time here bc the information landscape is basically TV static
This deserted street is at the center of Boston University, which is supposed to have about 40 thousand students. Most are nowhere to be found.
The students you do see all look completely miserable. Everyone is foreign- not just in origin but in the world they inhabit. Virtually, she is far away- China, Valhalla, the moon, It wouldn’t matter. it’s not the phone that transports her, it’s her head that’s in the clouds. And she is all of us.
Decades ago, this part of campus had the best parties. Now, unfriendly strivers in fantasy worlds. A Tower of Babel, and the split is more than superficially linguistic

The problem isn’t that AI is intelligent. It isn’t. The problem is that too many adults (but not all) are at once mechanistic, imitative, unimaginative, stupid, formulaic, influenceable, & gullible, arrogant beyond their skill set, & too expensive to maintain.

I’m (very selfishly) really happy to see that young American Muslim men (many of whom were gravitating toward MAGA in 2024) now have not one, but two progressive Muslim male role models in politics with national stature and one of them is also a jock.
A head-turning new "Michigan First" ad from @AbdulElSayed - he names some issue he agrees with MAGA voters on, then plays a supercut of Fox News hosts/Tucker praising him or bashing Mike Rogers. semafor.com/article/10/23/20…
