He took out eight men in under a minute with speed and surprise. Now he's alone in the pine woods with two heavy black bags, a chopper overhead, and a woman who wants him caught. Meet Brill Wingfield, the world's luckiest hitman. 🧵

Gus is a fluffy, lovable dog who spends most of his life lying around. Then he discovered rabbits in the backyard. Suddenly my lazy office supervisor became a full-time hunter. I'm beginning to suspect the bunny revolution is real. clowry9am.substack.com/p/its…

Ten guns. Ten trails. One brutal American West. Outlaws, gunfighters, trackers, revenge, and frontier justice. I've collected 10 full-length Western adventures into one boxset for $9.99. That's a lot of trouble for less than ten bucks. payhip.com/b/BCk2p

I'm in my 50s. At 42, I ran marathons, competed in ultramarathons, earned six figures, and wrote constantly. I sometimes wonder how much of that man I can get back. Maybe the better question is what I can build next. clowry9am.substack.com/p/its…

I made a sound effect from an old horror movie. Just an ordinary noise that's been living rent-free in my head for forty years. My kid heard it. And I realized our brains are full of strange little souvenirs from the lives we've lived. clowry9am.substack.com/p/its…

I had a Battlestar Galactica lunchbox. Wanted Star Wars. My brother was Starbuck. I was Apollo. We fought Cylons in the yard and saved the universe before supper. Funny how the cheapest childhood memories sometimes become the richest. clowry9am.substack.com/p/its…

I told the story of how I wrote EPOCH once I went to work at UPS while I was in college I got hired to load/unload trucks and when I showed and started working Someone stepped into the half empty trailer and asked if I could really type 55 words a minute I said yes, so they moved me upstairs to answer phones in a customer service department They told me to wear a tie the next day And I went there after class for three years, answering an 800 inbound number When UPS decided to consolidate their customer service operations in Memphis I didn’t go, but got moved over to assist an Account Executive based out of Memphis Which lasted six months before they head shed decided to cut costs and cut the Arkansas operation At least that side of it, and since the only openings required me moving out of state Or moving to Chicago for six months to become a driver I took the buy out and had a few weeks of job hunting So I got up, went to the gym to work out, came back and wrote my first novel Then… I never stopped My desk back then was a wood door on two file cabinets My desk now is a TV tray, for space reasons Though I pan an upgrade in the next few months But I can’t recall how I wroteMoon Men I know the X-Files were involved and Rush Hour too Not Rush Hour Two And LA Los Angeles It was about a nerdish guy who had a secret I think I wrote the novel and the script at the same time Certainly the treatment at least, And ended up with my second or third novel There were a thousand typos My fingers moved fast and even with spell check on the computer Sometimes I came up short I pitched both up and down Hollywood BLVD but SCI FI was on it’s way out So I put it in a box until Amazon opened up Kindle Where it moved a few units Found a lot of folks who found the typos and still liked it And I promised myself And maybe I promised you too, at least more than once in It’s 9AM That one day, Moon Men would be a movie That time… Has come. And I want you to stick with me on the journey. youtu.be/l4ax8alPu4w Are their typos? The cinematic equivilant, sure. But it’s almost there Some of it doesn’t “quite” make sense… yet It’s a matter of figuring out how to ask for what you want Like asking you to check it out And if you like SCI FI ACTION THRILLERS Check out MOON MEN the book And stay tuned for the movie Because everything I learn in this one and the next I’ll apply toward RENDER as an ACTION THRILLER MOVIE And I don’t want you to miss a single thing

Gumbo Malone retired to Florida for sunshine, fishing, and a little peace. Then somebody turned up dead. Then somebody else. Retirement is proving remarkably inconvenient. Five full mysteries. Five bucks. payhip.com/b/iLUGH
