🇮🇱🚨 Elie Pieprz of the Israel Defense and Security Forum says international pressure and potential sanctions against Israel will continue regardless of who leads the government.
He points to France’s recognition of 'Palestine' and growing international pressure over Judea and Samaria, arguing that Israel’s political leadership may change, but opposition to Israeli policies will remain.

🇮🇱🇪🇺 European public affairs director Julia Kril tells C14 that right-wing victories in Spain or France could gradually improve relations with Israel and potentially influence EU decisions on sanctions and trade agreements.
However, she says a shift in the EU’s long-standing support for a two-state solution is unlikely in the near future.

European policy expert says Turkey is closely monitoring Israeli elections, partly due to the prime minister's remarks to C14 regarding his policy on pre-emptive strikes. Luca Bertoletti of B&K tells C14 that Turkey and Qatar are supporting a "Muslim Brotherhood state" in Syria on the Israeli border.
Bertoletti suggests that the current Israeli coalition exercises a level of deterrence against Turkey, citing recent Israeli military actions in Lebanon, Iran, and Syria, where they protected the Druze community. The effectiveness of future diplomatic or military relations depends heavily on the specific parties forming the Israeli coalition.

Israel is not currently the primary concern for Europe." While Europe is watching Israel's elections, the continent is preparing for its own electoral shifts - the dramatic Spanish election in November and the French election in 2027. European public affairs director tells C14 that:
- Eastern Europe and the Baltic countries are primarily focused on Russia and the potential for war.
- Southern Europe is dealing with the migrant crisis and associated protests.
- There is potential for a "new beginning" in Europe's global relationships, including partnerships with the United States and Canada, which could create opportunities for a new relationship with Israel.

I am currently in Israel together with our executive director @juleskril representing @bkagency_ on this historic day. The first thing that comes to my mind is the atmosphere. Compared to what an Election Day is in Italy or in general in Europe, here last night in Jerusalem’s main streets you could see people (especially young people) rallying for different parties. And especially each pool has a different winner. My guess? There will be a unified government .
Stay tune for more .
As of 10am local time the turnout in the Israeli elections is 16.68% - the highest since 1981 @juleskril @bkagency_

If people want elections in Ukraine, then they should be pressuring Putin to end the war. The reason there’s no elections in Ukraine right now is because Ukraine is under Martial law due to the nonstop state of emergency and active state of war that has consumed the country for 5 years.
When Putin ends the war, I’m sure there will be an election in Ukraine.
It seems counterintuitive to ask Ukraine to replace Zelenskyy when an election can and will happen once Putin agrees to end the war.
Putin can easily stop attacking Ukraine.
He refuses. End the war and Ukraine will have an election.
Why aren’t more people angry with Putin? He’s the source of every issue concerning the Russia-Ukraine war.
Yesterday’s decision from #Trump’s administration to remove sanctions temporarily on #Russian diesel exports is a very temporary measure, which might lower the cost of #gasoline and #diesel for a few weeks only. What is happening in the #oilmarket is not due to the #StraitofHormuz or due to the #sanctions on #Russia’s oil after the invasion of #Ukraine.
For reference, in 2013 with #oil at $120–$130 per barrel, the #priceatthepump was between €1.5 and €1.7 per liter. Today, with oil around $100 per barrel, the price reaches almost €3 per liter.
The difference between 2013 and today is that in the past 10 years in #Europe, mainly because of Europe’s own #regulatoryframeworks, starting from the #greenpush, 30 #refineries closed. This is the real problem and the real tragedy. We can import oil from all over the world, but if we aren’t able to transform it into the different types of #fuels, the solution will not lower the price because we will still face the same problems—European countries aren’t able to transform oil into fuels to keep up with the #demand.
What #Europe needs to do is start reinvesting in #energyinfrastructures, #refineries, #nuclearpowerplants, #gasplants, #biofuels etc. The alternative is to keep this #priceofenergy for a very long time.
Thank you Président @RobertaMetsola
The @Europarl_EN is a place where everyone must feel safe, secure and protected.
We cannot have actions that could make people fearful of speaking; we cannot have damage to property and we cannot have attempts to intimidate rather than to debate.
At a time of rising global antisemitism, we owe it to Europe's Jewish community to ensure that when they look to us, they see that this is their House too.
We always knew The @EUparliament had some crazy people inside its house. But what @RimaHas did yesterday is beyond any comprehension. Not only did she step on the European flag she is supposed to represent, but she also insulted the hundreds of victims of October 7th whose only “fault” was to be Israeli. Will the European Parliament take action against this behavior? Or is the insult of civilian victims and the insult of the flag MEPs are supposed to represent now tolerated?
October 7 evokes strong emotions. I too feel grief and anger at the suffering and slaughter of innocent people. But knocking down the EU and Israeli flags at our commemoration exhibition does nothing to ease that suffering.
We should come together to honour the victims and work to ensure such atrocities never happen again. Remembrance deserves respect.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres said: “I have never seen killing and destruction like Gaza in all my years as Secretary-General.”
According to even the most critical reports, Guterres, 70,000 people were killed in the war in Gaza, a large proportion of them Hamas terrorists.
During your years as Secretary-General: more than 600,000 people were massacred or starved to death in Ethiopia.
377,000 died in Yemen — that figure appears in reports issued by your own organization.
150,000 were killed in Sudan and 12 million were displaced.
Hundreds of thousands have been buried in Ukraine.
You didn’t see it? They died before your eyes. You simply looked the other way, because the Jews couldn’t be blamed.
