people who believe "I can get better" really do outperform people who believe "this is just how I am" true both in personal and professional life life is better, both if you are the first type, and if you hang out with the first type too

Did you know if you collect "Anomaly" from my Protagonist Series, you also get a complimentary piece of your choice from my "Anomalies" series on SuperRare?

Hi friends. It's been a while since I approached the space as an artist. but after almost 2 years, I figured it was time to pick up my camera again and do what I love. Creating art. If you know me, chances are we hung out on Twitter Spaces in the early days. We probably talked about art, met a ton of new people, and occasionally talked about crypto and the blockchain. I remember seeing so many friends come into the space, mint their first NFT, and then go on to become incredibly successful at it! I remember selling out a collection in under 12 hrs and selling a 1/1 for 5ETH (🤯!). I remember staying up all night, having conversations with people from all over the world and all walks of life. We were all trying to figure this NFT thing out. It was our new toy and we were all sharing it. We gave each other advice, we laughed, we did a few rap battles, we bought each other's art, and most importantly, we all looked forward to the next Twitter Space. We didn't know those would be "the good old days" now. The web3 space pulled me in so much, that I left my "regular" dream job to work on one of the best NFT Marketplaces where I got to help some amazing artists (@killeracid, @XCOPYART, @cathsimard_, and many more!) mint some of their best work. It was such a gratifying experience. Then the bear market came around, and well, let's say we all got brought back to earth. 2022 was both the best and the worst year when it came to my creativity, I minted my last piece but also stopped taking photos. 2023 came around, ETH memecoins came and went. 2024 is now seeing SOL memecoins (is this still a thing or is the craze over?). And now after what seems to be forever, I cleaned up the dust from my camera and opened my photography library. I guess all of this to say, I'm feeling a little minty lately. I know it's not like it was before but that's cool. I just kind of miss the feeling of putting some art out into the blockchain. We shall see. If you made it this far, here's your reminder to drink more water! - alter

Dear NFT Community, Last Friday I dropped my genesis 1/1s and I was blown away by the incredible response from all of you. I’m filled with so much gratitude. But now I want to turn your attention to six @MONOLITHGallery artists, who also deserve your consideration. @lvbs_ng @kgpnyc @daria_antypenko @gracealmeradk @awayiflew @bajaninpdx I will be sharing why I love these artists this week. It is the first stage of a three part narrative I will be revealing over the next couple weeks. Through this narrative, I hope you will come to understand why I choose these talented people to be part of @MONOLITHGallery and why their work is truly extraordinary. I’d also like to highlight the diversity of this group of 6 artists, who are composed of 4 women, 2 men, representing 6 different countries (Nigeria 🇳🇬, Denmark 🇩🇰, Philippines 🇵🇭, Ukraine 🇺🇦, Barbados 🇧🇧, US 🇺🇸). Sincerely, Chikai

Random thought of the morning: I hope the next go around we focus much more on the art itself and much less on the point of sale and who is buying. Just look at how many people either disappeared or slowly did or said things that revealed they may not be how you perceived them to be. And that's where the focus went? The art is all that is guaranteed to be last. Anything else can come and go. And somehow it got the smallest slice of the pie more times than not. We also did ourselves a disservice by creating this dopamine dependent environment revolving around transactions, all while barely looking at the thing being transacted. Nobody is perfect and everyone is prone to falling into these cycles. Let's just hope we can collectively do better next time.
