The cost of @Tees_Issues’ disastrous time as mayor. This is the kind of thing that brought our council to the brink. Labour is getting on with rebuilding our services, our reputation and our finances. We can never go back to this.

I will vote for the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill, which is being introduced to ensure children growing up in our country receive the best start in life.
I will be voting for the Bill and all its positive measures - and against Conservative game-playing.

What sparkling analysis.
This grifter knows as much about french politics as he does about English local government. And we know how that turned out.
I was unable to attend Acklam Community Council last week as I was away on a work trip. Instead, I sent a written report because I promised to always keep people updated with my work. You can have a read about what I’ve been up to here 👇
Had a fantastic night this evening watching the Middlesbrough Youth Theatre’s production of my favourite musical - #LesMiserables.
The cast were absolutely outstanding. Some real talent and a really stirring performance. 🇫🇷
I’m honoured that the Mayor has asked me to join his Executive in the role of Exec Member for Children’s Services. It’s so important we safeguard young people and give them the best start in life - I’m looking forward to getting stuck in.

What better to watch the fate of the free world unfold than with fireworks, wine, chilli dogs and great pals? Surging support for @KamalaHarris in the great state of #Yorkshire! 🇺🇸🗽

Hard agree. I’m usually far too optimistic but I think the fundamentals all favour @KamalaHarris. And I believe in the fundamental decency of Americans. Going to be a nail-biter!

Cllr Tom Mohan (Lab, Hemlington)
Fantastic result - so proud to be part of the Labour team in Middlesbrough! 🌹
Final push in #Hemlington this evening to elect Tom Mohan. Jeanette would be incredibly proud of the work he’s put in - and will do as councillor if he wins
Less than a week to go until Hemlington chooses its next councillor. It was a pleasure to be out with @luke_myer and the team chatting to voters to get Tom Mohan elected - people need little convincing to support a candidate many have known all his life. 🌹
