I've already found some flaws in ColorOS 17 馃У
1. the volume slider uses temporal blur (idk what to call it honestly) and it makes the thing looks extremely cheap compared to coloros 16 real time blur. you can see how glitchy and delayed it is.
4. the new notifications style is pretty buggy. the notifications animation are faster than the widgets, and the widgets are faster than the clock. those combined make everything overlap each other when the animation plays, and ofc it looks horrible and cheap.
hello hello, coloros 17.
(rom beta build of stable version omfg 馃挃)
should i flash now or wait for stable 馃槶
im sorry but it looks like those cheap liquid glass wannabe icons pack on playstore
OriginOS 7 design is slowly growing on me and I started to like it 馃敟
If we talk about comparison to ColorOS 17 then OriginOS 7 is definitely behind. No doubt.
But in my X300 Ultra, I am using it for more than 2 weeks now. And I should say OriginOS 7 is an improvement over OriginOS 6 and many micro bugs within the UI are fixed. There are some weird spacing issues which need to be fixed. Third party icon support is needed. Widget stack is needed. Mood Cube in Global version is also can be a good addition. Overall I liked the fact that Vivo improved their Global version of UI and they said they will continue to add some more features via OTA update in future. Currently I am enjoying using OriginOS 7 and there are no notification delay for me 馃憖
ColorOS 17 has implemented more of a type of blur called temporal blur. basically, if the background moves slowly, the blur will renders smoothly. if the background moves fast, the blur will have a noticable delay. coloros16 has in a few places (like the vid shown), 17 has more.
those blur lag in the new cos17 volume panel, the static blur in clock transition in cos 16, etc. it was all intentional and not a bug.
this is how they managed to achive the smoothness, by sacrificing real time blur in certain ui interfaces. but tbh, im not a fan of it.
