Yes I appreciate that but I paid £13 for my ticket while a bus ticket costs £2 - if I’d been told there were no trains I would’ve saved myself £11 but the signs said the trains were running and the man at the ticket counter sold me a ticket despite no trains

Photographer Vadim Trunov has had close encounters with squirrels in his career, but these photos of squirrels shooting photos of each other and of birds are probably the most captivating he took.

STAR TREK HISTORY was almost made today when Ambassador Spock offered the Academy’s first Gorn applicant his Starfleet Insignia. Unfortunately the applicant refused to accept it and diplomatic relations between the Gorn and the Federation returned to an uneasy stalemate.

If you are stuck indoors today here are some suggestions for all sorts of bat-themed activities you can do indoors (some you can do outdoors if the weather is suitable!). Something fun for all ages to enjoy: buff.ly/3SqRs5y

Cabbage Grapefruit Salad? Made with lime Jello? Served with MAYONNAISE?! How did anyone live through the 60’s with food like this? Why wasn’t everyone succumbing to dreadful digestive distress? Inquiring minds want to know…🙀 #Christmas #ChristmasDinner

You know those pesky fallen leaves? Watch this #blackbird dance with them as he breakfasts. You see they’re not pesky leaves but rather #nature’s pantry. Cover for #insects. Food for #birds. Future #soil. Vital. So do yourself, the #planet & Brian here a favour. Leave them be!

Should be relatively easy for Tesco shoppers to identify the offending packets - they'll be the ones bouncing off lightbulbs

Hello , I’ve written another letter to @antanddec about the ongoing appalling abuse of animals on @ITV programme @imacelebrity . I’ve tried to be polite but my patience has run thin . If you agree with what it says please RT . #ImACeleb

I was just asked if I was “ready for Christmas”. It is the 23rd of November. I’m not even ready for this afternoon.

Ladybirds are preparing to hibernate! Norse lore claims they rode to Earth on lightning bolts and associated them with Freya. Like butterflies they were called “Freya’s hens”, possibly because their 7 spots resemble the stars of the Pleiades which shared the name #FolkloreSunday
