This week, Russia has hit nine “Epicentr” stores across Ukraine. These are Ukraine’s version of “Home Depot,” where people buy household appliances - including generators to power their homes through the winter as Russian strikes knock out electricity across the country. Firefighters in Ukraine battled multiple fires after Russian strikes hit Kyiv and several other locations early Thursday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russia of using cluster munitions in the strikes that came hours after Russia released American Stephen Hubbard, and U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin and called him a “humanitarian.”
At least four people were killed, according to Ukraine's foreign ministry. Another 34 people were injured, including five children, Zelenskyy said.
