🔴Russo Brace Fires Arsenal Women to a Huge Away Win!
#AWFC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield in the Women’s Super League, with Alessia Russo scoring both goals.
Emily Fox provided the assist for the opener in the ninth minute, delivering a brilliant cross that Russo finished to give Arsenal the lead. Liverpool responded through Beata Olsson in the 16th minute, but Arsenal regained control just before half-time when Russo headed home another excellent cross, this time from Lisa Baum.
The second half brought fewer clear chances, with Misa Rodríguez making an important late save to deny Liverpool an equaliser. Arsenal stayed organised under pressure and held on to claim all three points.
Russo was the match-winner, while Fox and Baum both played important roles in the goals.

The narrative that Arsenal "wins ugly" clearly and totally misinterprets high class tactical control for poor performance. In Arsenal's 1:0 win over Hull, Arsenal put on a masterclass in game suffocation, dominating with 67% possession and completely neutralizing a stubborn Hull City low block.
Narrow margins don't necessarily mean chaos; they mean deliberate structural dominance and effectiveness.
Truth be told "ugly" football relies on desperate defending, but Arsenal restricted Hull to a minuscule 0.34 xG. The Konsa & Gabriel defensive partnership effortlessly secured the team's 7th Premier League clean sheet of the season.
Breaking down an ultra-defensive structured opponent requires immense patience, which is elite maturity, not a boring performance.
Perfectly grinding out a 1:0 victory against negative tactics is the definitive character of champions. When other teams secure these kind of gritty results, most pundits call it clinical efficiency. For this Arsenal squad, it is simply proof that they now know exactly how to conquer any defensive bus parked in front of them.

The fixtures are looking interesting today, but I’m especially watching that Manchester United game. 😂 Let’s see if the red side of Manchester can give us another reason to laugh.

You admired us because we were winning nothing enough with the lies please 😂😂
Do Arsenal fans actually enjoy watching their team play football, or do they just want to get the 3 points regardless of how they do it?
The Arsenal we grew up watching played that beautiful tiki-taka style of football that everyone loved and admired.
I honestly haven’t watched Arsenal lately and said to myself, wow, this team is so good.

Noni Madueke is arguably the most improved player in this Arsenal team currently.
At least something good came from Chelsea for once.
